Adam Turns 6!!

Today is Adam's 6th birthday! He has been counting down the days until his birthday for weeks. He has been so excited to turn 6. We have a fun weekend planned with our Bug-a-Boo. This morning for his birthday breakfast he go churro pancakes. He loved them!

This year Adam requested a Basketball Birthday....shocking, I know. This child eat, sleeps, and breathes basketball. Even last night at his T-ball game he was pretend dribbling in outfield.
This afternoon we had a birthday bash with several of his buddies. They had lots of fun and got really dirty!
Cody, Ryan, Adam, Christian, Carson, and Rylan
 We played "Hot Basketball"

We played "Pin the ball in the hoop"

We played our new and improved version of PIG
Good shot Adam!

Adam's friends know him well! He got a NCAA basketball from Ryan.
 Legos from Cody
Christian gave him a sprinkler toy for outside
 A football from Rylan

And an NBA basketball from Carson. He was thrilled to have both an NCAA ball and an NBA ball!

We let him open one present from us....NBA trading cards! He's been dying for some:)
Basketball cupcakes and a Happy Birthday song.
Had to show off my cool banner...in Jazz colors I might add.

Adam has been telling us for weeks about his best friend, Ryan. They met at school when Ryan moved in a couple of months ago and have played basketball at recess everyday for at least the last 2 months. Adam was so happy Ryan was able to come to his birthday party. They were inseparable and I had to keep reminding Adam to play with his other friends too.

Happy Birthday Adam!

Date Night

For Mother's Day, Eric got us tickets to go see a one night showing of "Love Never Dies", the sequel to "Phantom of the Opera". It was beautiful and I loved every minute of it! When I had chills during the first song, I knew we were in for something good! Gwen tagged along and was an angel the entire evening.  It was nice to have an evening out with Eric and enjoy some theater!

Our Killer Bee

Adam started T-ball a couple of weeks ago. It has been a busy month for Adam! His birthday is this Friday and we are counting down the days for that as well! This boy loves his sports and is having lots of fun playing with the Killer Bee's.

His first game he was third baseman. The ball never got out to him, but he stood by that base patiently waiting and waving at us like crazy!
We laughed as Adam stayed put and every other member of his team left their spots to chase the ball. Watching them play is my comic relief for the week!
 Up to bat!

Running from first to second base. He is a fast little runner!
Go Killer Bee's!!

Adam's Graduation

Today our Bug-a-Boo "graduated" Kindergarten. All 3 Kindergarten classes put on a program for their families. Each of the students had a part they recited for us and they sang about 8 songs. Adam said, "We've been learning these literacy keys." They have been practicing for about 2 weeks and they all did so well! We were way in the back so we didn't get very many pictures.

Once Adam found us he was waving like crazy.
Receiving his diploma from Mrs. Jarvis

Once last picture at his table.
Mamma came to watch Adam. We were so glad to have her with us!
 Our late Mother's Day picture:)

We love you so much Adam and are so proud of the good boy that you are!
Hopefully First Grade won't come too fast!

Mother's Day 2012

We had a busy and eventful Mother's Day. We were excited to talk to Uncle David in Brazil and were happy to get to visit with Ma and Mamma. Our car broke down on our way home, so it ended up being a very late Mother's Day as I didn't get home with the kids until after 10pm. Gotta keep life interesting!
Eric and the kids spoiled me! Eric bought me beautiful flowers and is taking me on a special date next week!
Adam and Tessa both drew me beautiful pictures! And little Gwen hardly spit up on me!
I am so thankful to be a mother and for all of the Mother's in my life! Especially my Mom and Karen. I am  so thankful for my beautiful and healthy kids! I am truly blessed!

Pictures with Mamma to come soon.....

4 Months Old

The day we left for California (May 3rd), Gwen turned 4 months old. It makes me so sad to have her get so big! She is such a wonderful baby! She is so pleasant, she spits up constantly, (I have just gotten used to smelling like baby barfiness), she loves bath time, loves being naked, loves to see her Daddy every night when he gets home from work, loves to laugh at her brother and sister, loves to eat, and loves to pull on my hair while she nurses. She still isn't sleeping through the night, but that's ok. It is easy to wake up for someone so cute!
She had her 4 month check up yesterday. She is a health 14 lbs 12 oz! That puts her in the 75th percentile for her weight. She is 23 1/4 inches long, which puts her on the short side. Only in the 15th percentile for her height. So she is short and chubby! Tessa calls her "Our Chubby Monkey".

The Big Surprise-Part 3

On Saturday we headed out to Newport Beach for Nathan Waitman's wedding. It was fun to visit a new temple!

Gwen was a hit. It was fun to see the kids I used to babysit holding my babies.
 The beautiful Waitman family

We had about an hour of free time between the wedding and the reception, so the kids took full advantage of that hour and hit the hotel pool.

Uncle Matt helped Tessa swim and Daddy worked with Adam on holding his breath under the water.

The reception was awesome! A true Cali wedding with delicious food and awesome music! We were excited to finally get to hear Doug's band after all these years. Adam and Tessa literally danced the night away. Tessa took breaks every now and then, but I think Adam danced for 2 hours straight! They had so much fun!

They even got the lead singer out on the floor dancing with them during "I Got A Feelin'".

Aunt Katy danced most of the night with the kids.

 Adam had some sweet moves!

Mommy and Daddy even got some dancing time in. It was wonderful to visit with  friends and family. I had the surprise of my life when my Mom brought my old camp director over to say hi. It was SO good to see her! She made camp an amazing experience for me and all the other girls in our stake.
We had a fun trip and were sad to have it go by so quickly. The kids did really well on the drive home. Gwen was an angel, Tessa didn't fall asleep once the entire drive, and Adam finally slept for about 40 minutes when we were practically home. Strange children! Now Mommy and Daddy need a vacation from our vacation.
