Labor Day 2012

We had a fun Labor Day! We spent a few hours at Utah Lake, enjoying Pa's canoe and swimming. Adam and Tessa have been so excited to go canoeing this summer. They could hardly wait for their turn!

Tessa practiced her rowing on shore.

Aunt Katy and Uncle Ben took Adam and Tessa out on their first run. The kids wanted to help paddle, but I have a feeling they were less then helpful in that area.

Gwen loved getting her feet wet in the water and playing with the lid from the fruit bowl.

Adam got to go out on the lake with Daddy and Uncle Danny. Tessa decided one trip was enough for her. She said the boat was making her seasick.
Uncle Matt gave Gwennie rides in his lacross stick.

Daddy was nice enough to take the kids for a swim in the nasty lake water. It was cold, but they loved it!
Gwen is such a water baby! She loves being in the water.

Mommy and Gwen. It was a very sunny day!
After we had our fill at the lake, we headed back to Ma and Pa's house for a yummy bbq and birthday party for Uncle Ben.

Gwen loves playing in the grass. She is our first baby that will even touch grass!
We had a fun day playing with family. Now back to work and school.....

Game Day!

Thursday was the first BYU football game of the season and Eric and Adam have been SO excited!! When Adam got home from school he put on his new BYU football shirt and helped me hang our BYU flag. It was a late game, but we let the kids stay up to watch it.

If you heard screaming coming from our house, it was either Adam cheering when we got a touchdown or Eric yelling at the officials for all the horrible calls. It ended up being a ridiculously long game due to all the (bad) calls. It was like an hour a quarter...insane!
Adam lasted until about 11:30pm when there was about 6 minutes left in the game. We won 30-6 and Adam was so happy for our victory! He said the next day at school he was so excited about football, he played a little football with some 2nd graders during recess.
Go Cougars!

She's On The Move!

Our little Gwennie is crawling and sitting up all on her own now. Adam and Tessa are thrilled with all of her new tricks and are constantly cheering her on. I am glad she is growing and developing, but sad that my baby is getting so big so fast! She has been very clingy since our trip and constantly wants to be held (only by Mommy) and freaks out if I leave a room without her. Otherwise, she continues to be a wonderful baby who is having fun exploring with her new found freedom. She loves to sit right in from of the entertainment center and play with her reflection in the glass. We just can't get enough of her!

More Cougar Fun!

Tonight we had fun hanging out at LaVell Edwards Stadium for another Cougar Kick-Off party! Adam is literally counting down the hours until the first football game on Thursday night.
We played with the soccer team. Both kids scored goals!
Someday we are going to love this picture of those boots. She has worn them since she was two and wears them everywhere, no matter the weather!

Hanging out in the bleachers and getting a good view of the field.

Adam and Tessa got to play with the volleyball team for a few minutes. Adam was actually pretty good-guess all the hours watching beach volleyball during the Olympics paid off.
Daddy helped Tessa get the ball over the net.
Gwen and Aunt Katy talking with a cheerleader.
 A future Cougarette!

We were able to tour the locker room, but had to wait in a fairly long line to get in. Luckily we had a nice view while we waited.
Gwen hanging out in Bronco's locker
The kids got to try on some of the players gear. Adam loved it!

Tessa wanted to see if she would fit too.
The gear was so big on Tess! Eric and Adam had to hold it up, otherwise it fell right down to the floor.

We had fun hanging out with Cosmo!

Adam cheered as they played highlights from previous seasons on the new jumbo screens.
There was a small dance party going on and my kids saw it and jumped right in. We didn't get any shots of Tess, but she was there. Both kids had a circle of students and cheerleaders around them cheering their dancing on as the busted some sweet moves to LMFAO! Uncle Mattman would have been proud!

Adam was happy to find a hoop and made two shots in a row! The guy was pretty impressed:)
We ended the evening with some Cougar coloring. We are so glad we live so close to BYU and that we are able to enjoy all these fun parties. We will be having a party of our own on Thursday. If you hear screaming coming from our house, it will be Adam cheering for his Cougars!
