More Easter Fun!

Saturday morning we got up bright and early to go to an egg hunt at BYU!

Adam and Tessa got to throw some footballs while we waited for the hunt to start.

The lines for pictures with Cosmo and the Easter Bunny were insanely long, so we were lucky to find this cute chipmunk wondering around.
They had fields divided up for different age groups. Luckily, Adam and Tessa were in the same age group. I decided to save us a spot for the hunt and Eric took the kids around to play while we waited. I liked watching them get the fields ready. They had boxes and boxes full of eggs!

Luckily, they all came back a little after 10am. The egg hung wasn't suppose to start until 10:30. At about 10:10, something went very wrong and all of the sudden, all of the kids rushed the field!! We sent our kids running with everyone else. It was actually hilarious to watch the chaos. People that got there late (at 10:30) were pretty mad that they had missed it. Those of us that were there found it all pretty amusing!

They both ended up with yummy treats and some fun coupons for things around town and on campus.

After the stampede, we let Gwen have some time to wonder around. She was loving that!
When the egg rush was over, we headed to the stadium where we watched the spring scrimmage! It was so fun to watch some football!!

That afternoon, Eric, Adam and Tessa headed to Festival of Colors. They had a blast! Pictures to come soon!
When they got home and all cleaned up, we got ready for the Easter Bunny.
Adam planted some jelly beans next to his garden gnome. I meant to take a picture of this last week and forgot. Adam got this on top of a cupcake at school. He came home and planted it because he thought he we needed a garden gnome.
Adam and Tessa colored some eggs and made some beautiful creations!

Gwennie was a pill, so Daddy had to keep her at bay.

They had a hard time being patient and waiting for their eggs to get to be just the perfect color. But they did a good job.

Easter Fun!

The kids have been so excited for Easter to roll around. We had some Easter fun this week and made a few fun things.
 We made Easter Bunny masks.
We made our favorite 3D eggs.
We made some Easter cookies to take to our neighbors and friends.
Friday afternoon, we headed up to Ma and Pa's house for an egg hunt and Ares birthday party. Tessa insisted that she had to bake something to take for the party. She baked 6 cupcakes in her Easy Bake Oven. But since Ares was only turning 5, that meant she got to eat one of the cupcakes. She carefully planned this out, I am sure. She also insisted on taking the cupcakes on a "golden platter". When I asked her why a golden platter, she said, "So it looks like I am rich." Heaven help us!

 Tessa and Ares
All ready for their egg hunt!
Uncle Andrew started to help Gwen find her eggs, but she caught on pretty quick and then wanted to do it herself.

 Checking out their loot!

Dentist Check-Up

Yesterday, Adam and Tessa had their 6 month check up with Dr. Fairbanks. My kids love going to the dentist! Tessa woke up at 7:30am and the first question she asked me was, "It is time to go to the dentist yet?" Adam loves wearing their sunglasses and Tessa just kicks back and acts like she is being pampered at a spa. Of course, the TV on the ceiling is always a bonus. They are both still cavity free!

Park Day

We had some beautiful weather last week and we took full advantage of it!
Thursday, the girls and I walked to pick Adam up from school. Tessa insisted on riding her scooter, but only lasted about halfway down the street. I think I need to get a double stroller. We played outside most of the afternoon and realized later on that evening how sunburned we were-especially Mommy.
Friday there wasn't any school for Adam, so we spent a good chunk of our day at the park. We had several friends and neighbors show up too, so that made it even more fun!
Saturday, Daddy had to work, but the rest of us took a nice, long walk down to the river and spent some time there. It was super windy, but the kids had fun throwing rocks into the water. Adam got really confident on his scooter on our way back home and was flying down every hill he could find.
Gwen's first time swinging and she loved it!
