Last week we had more Halloween fun as we counted down the days to the big day.
Our cousins, the Adams, had a fun Halloween party where the kids got to debut their costumes and had lots of fun dancing, trick or treating around the church, and watching Hocus Pocus. And eating non-stop.
Monday for FHE, we heard the Chocolate Chip Ghost Story and we had Ghost pudding. A favorite Halloween tradition at our house.
On Tuesday, we made dinner in a pumpkin. The kids thought it was absolutely magical that you could actually cook and eat a pumpkin. I guess they thought pumpkins were only for carving faces into.

I think this may have been Caleb's first doughnut. He devoured it and wanted more!
On Wednesday, Tessa helped make our fun dinner and wrapped all of our Mummy Dogs. She still won't eat a lot of foods, but we are making progress with her touching them.
Wednesday evening, we had such a fun time at the Springville Art Museums Halloween party. They had such fun activities. This was one of the best activities we have been to at the museum.
The kids got to start by decorating candy bags to do their trick or treating.
Our first stop was on a ghost tour. Tessa was totally freaked out, but the rest of us loved it! It was the perfect balance of creepy and family friendly for the kids.

We loved our visit with the Fortune Teller. She told Adam he would be a great leader, She told Tessa that she would become a famous singer, And she told Gwen that she would grow up and have a pet elephant.
Adam loved the skeleton playing the piano.
One of Adam's favorite activities of the night was the Campfire Stories. They each got to tell part of the story and Adam was in tears several times after little kids added their twists to the stories. It usually involved the main characters dying.
Caleb was not into anything and just wanted to wander. Luckily, he has a good Daddy who obliges him. We got to play lots of other games, make monsters, find "living art" walking around the museum, and eat treats.
Thursday we carved our pumpkins. The kids wanted to wait and do it a bit later in the week so they could show Mamma and Bampa their pumpkins when they come to visit next week.
Caleb just wanted to go to bed until he saw the big kids were doing something fun. Then he wanted to clean out the pumpkins too.
Gwen cleaned her pumpkin out with a baby spoon. We couldn't convince her to use a bigger one. Needless to say, cleaning her pumpkin took a while.
They each designed their own faces for their pumpkins.
He loved being a big helper!
