Gwen's First Spaghetti Dinner

Tonight Gwen ate her first spaghetti dinner. Judging by the mess she made, I would say she enjoyed it!

She polished it off pretty quickly. She had quite the stash in her lap, but she got most of it in her belly.
I put her on the table to clean up her high chair a bit before we took her up to the tub, and when I turned around she had grabbed a cookie and started chomping away on it.

A good dinner and dessert!

Festival of Lights!

Day 17-Festival of Lights!
Last night for Family Home Evening, we went to see the Festival of Lights. All 3 kids loved seeing all the lights and I did my best to get some pictures of their favorite things.

We love the light speed tunnel!
We came home and made snowman ice cream for a treat. Tessa was not happy about the cherry on her snowman hat. She stopped crying to take a picture and then gladly handed the cherry over to Adam.

Christmas Countdown

More Christmas fun at our house!
Day 13-Christmas Tree Cones
Adam and Tessa decorated ice cream cones to look like Christmas trees.

They had to be fast to keep Gwen away.

Thursday night we met up with the rest of the Nielson's to see the Farley Family Christmas Show. My favorite part of going to this show is listening to Adam and Bampa laugh!
Friday night, (Day 14) we went and saw a special someone! Adam and Tessa have been so anxious to tell him what they want for Christmas since they didn't get a chance to last week when he came to our ward party. Adam and Tessa were thrilled to see him, and Gwen was less than happy as you can see.

Gwen had had enough with pictures!
Day 15-Thumbprint Candy Canes
We made sure Gwen was secure in her highchair, eating lunch before we did this activity. I can only imagine what would happen if she found the finger paint!

Tessa's Field Trip

On Thursday, Tessa's little preschool group had a field trip to the Spanish Fork Nursing Home. The kids were so excited to go on a field trip, but Tess was a little disappointed that they wouldn't be able to ride a bus.
These are the cutest kids ever and thought the Nursing Home was just like a hotel for Grandma's and Grandpa's. We were missing a few kids, but the ones that were able to make it did a great job of singing and visiting!
They started by singing some of their Preschool songs.

Cooper, Zach, Tessa, and Camdyn (with Miss Amy in the back)

Tessa did such a good job talking to all of the Grandma's and Grandpa's that came to visit with the kids. She was good about saying her name, how old she is, and giving hugs.

This particular Grandpa made Tess a bit curious because he was missing all of his teeth. We have had some good discussions on the importance of brushing our teeth and eating our fruits and vegetables so we don't lose our teeth. I think she would rather lose her teeth than eat fruits and vegetables. I tried.....
Before we left, they kids all sang Jingle Bells.
Camdyn, Penny, Sister Hilgendorf, and Tessa
Saying goodbye....Tessa was sad that we didn't stay longer.
