Joy

This is one of those moments that just makes you smile and grateful to be a mommy. Adam had been playing in his room for a while so I decided to check on him and this is what I found. He was just hanging out on his bed reading to himself. I know I say this all the time, but he is seriously the cutest boy!

Carrots!!!

Tessa Boo had carrots for the first time this week.

Dad's Birthday

On February 12th we celebrated my daddy's 55th birthday!! I am all about accurate candles on birthday cakes, so Adam gave me a hand.

Matt and David were ready for a fire!

Believe it or not, he did it!!!
My Dad has always been my hero...I am glad we live close again so my kids can grow up with him in their lives. I know they will be better people because they know him! Love you Dad!!

Our Trip to Sunny California

This past week Adam, Tessa and I headed to California for a few days to spend time with my grandparents. It was a busy week, but a warm one!! I don't feel like I can get warm since we have been home. Adam had fun at great grandma's echo house. Tessa was usually jealous that I was taking care of grandma and not her, but she survived. The kids were cracking my up on the drive home. Adam refused to get dressed. He thought it was hilarious that he got to eat lunch in his pajamas. He had it pretty easy the whole ride with his sun glasses and his movies. Here he is watching Toy Story for about the 15th time that week!!
Our little Tessa Boo discovered her tongue on the ride home and would not keep it in her mouth. She looked like a lizard and it made me laugh SO hard!!

Adam loved helping Pa pick avocados from great grandma's tree. He also loved watching the ants in her backyard. He ran in the house one afternoon and told me, "I ate a bug and an ant in my mouth!" He was quite proud and I was quite grossed out!

We got to see Grandpa Lemley and Cindy and Robin a couple of times and it was nice to be able to visit with them. Aunt Cindy kept asking Tessa what color bathing suit she wanted for the summer.
It was nice to go down, but nice to be home even if it is cold here. Once I am well I need a vacation from my "vacation".
