Pillow Talk

I always give Eric a bad time about his pillows. I laughed out loud when I was making our bed and saw how different our pillows were. I had to take a picture to tease him. I don't know how he gets a good night sleep with pillows like this, but he insists that it's comfortable. In case you were confused, Eric's pillows are those things that don't look like pillows.

Adam

Adam is always making me smile. He has had a busy 2 weeks! We did swimming lessons this summer and he has loved it! He is doing so well and is convinced that he knows how to swim now. Yikes!
After swim lessons the other day we went to one of my "toy" (kitchen) stores and Adam went crazy when he saw this apron. He begged, "Please Mom, can we borrow it?!" I couldn't resist....he loves helping me in the kitchen. We tried it on and he said, "Now I look like a real star tours cooker!"

He thinks he is a fish. His poor teachers can hardly keep his head above the water...he loves going under now.
The other day I had my laundry piles all sorted and was doing other things around the house when Adam came running to find me and wanted me to follow him-he had something special to show me. He proceeded to climb up my mountain of laundry, put his arm in the air and said, "Look Mommy! I'm Captain Moroni!" An awesome mommy moment for me:)

Hogle Zoo

Last Saturday we headed up to the zoo and spent the morning there as a family. It was so nice to get out and do something together. The kids loved seeing the animals and Eric and I loved watching their reactions to everything. Tessa loved the monkey's and the giraffe's were by far the favorite for everyone. We had such a good time and are looking forward to our next weekend adventure.

Tessa

Tessa is constantly making us laugh! She has such a fun and lively personality-way lively! She will turn two in about a month. She knows her alphabet, counts better than Adam, knows her shapes and colors and amazes everyone with her vocabulary. (I have no idea what I am going to teach her the next 3 years.) I got to call poison control on her last week-that was a new experience for me. Other than feeling like a horrible mother, everything was fine.
This is one of her favorite kitchen toys. She calls my candy thermometer an "awesome". I have no idea why, but every time she pulls it out of the drawer she yells, "am awesome!" I guess something that helps make her favorite food (candy) should be considered awesome.
One of her other favorite things to do, is to put her doll pants on with her boots. She attempts to walk in them, but she can't get the pants above her knees, so she just waddles around the house. It's pretty funny to watch.

4th of July Parade

We went to the parade in Provo Monday morning and had lots of fun. The kids LOVED the parade! As soon as we got home Adam started playing parade-all of his cars became floats and his character toys were riding on top of his "floats". I had to cheer every time he drove them by me.

She has to say and do everything he does-she kept trying to stand the same way he did at the parade
Adam loved all the high fives he got-especially from the missionaries

Stadium of Fire

Saturday night we met up with the Nielson gang at BYU to watch the fireworks.
Tessa wouldn't eat any dinner, but loved all the junk food!
Adam anxiously waiting for the jets to fly over-he would not move because he didn't want to miss them.

4th of July

I am finally getting caught up on life-I need to dust my house, but I thought this was more important-and more fun! We had a great 4th of July weekend-busy, but fun! We kicked it off early Saturday morning my going to the balloon launch in Provo. Sadly the balloons never got in the air due to the wind, but we had fun seeing the few they blew up.

I love this picture!! My parents met up with us bright and early!
