Daddy/Daughter Sword Fight

Thursday night, right before bedtime, Eric and the girls had an epic sword fight. They all had so much fun, but I think in the end, the dragon (Daddy) was defeated.

They worked up an appetite with all that sword fighting, so then they needed a treat before bed. (Bedtime came very late that night!) They all plopped on the kitchen floor together to enjoy their ice cream. Sometime these kids are far too entertaining!

Summer of Fun-Week 8

We were pretty worn out after our week with our cousins and trip to Bear Lake. We tried to take it a little easier this week, while still having some fun!
Monday and Tuesday evenings we had some awesome rain and thunder storms roll through. The kids spent their evenings playing out in the rain.

Tuesday morning Tessa had gymnastics. Ma and David came to watch.

I had a long list of things to do on Tuesday because it was my one free day to get some extra things done. I decided to ignore my list and enjoy snuggling my baby while she slept.
Wednesday we hit Seven Peaks with our friends, the Littlemore's. We wish they didn't live so far away, but we are so glad we got to spend some time with them this week!

 Adam and Ethan.
They have grown up so much since our days together up in Ogden!
These kids were worn out after our day in the water!!

Thursday was Adam's first day back at basketball camp!!
He was so happy to be there again and he had a blast!

The news station came to do a story on the service project the kids did on Friday. Adam was pretty sure he was famous after that!
Tessa had fun making goofy faces while we waited for Adam on Thursday.
After camp on Thursday, we met Daddy for lunch at Ikea and then the kids and I headed up to Salt Lake to go to Wheeler Farms We had fun seeing so many animals and the farm house.

 Adam inspecting the horse poop.
They kept making the cows mad by mooing at them over and over again.

 Showing off the outhouse

They were a little freaked out by the celar.

Gwen found this hat at Ikea and wore it for hours!
Adam came down with a cold this week. Bad timing for basketball camp. He has been good about doing his breathing treatments. I love that he reads basketball books while he is stuck on the couch.
After Adam's camp was out on Saturday, we headed back up to Salt Lake to go to Discovery Gateway. The kids had a blast and played for hours! We had such a fun time together!

I guess our version of "taking it easy" isn't very relaxing, but we had fun. We found out when school is starting next month and now we feel like we are running out of time to get things crossed off our summer list. Hopefully we don't run out of time!
