Summer of Fun-Week 9

Our fun summer activities have started winding down as Mommy has gotten bigger and more uncomfortable. But, we are on the home stretch for the Baby to arrive, so that is a plus!
Here is Mommy and Baby Caleb at 37 weeks. He has dropped quite a bit and I'm not sure if I could stretch anymore. I do like my basketball belly though.
Monday was our usual day at home for vegging, cleaning and laundry.
The girls and I did spend part of the morning playing Barbies.

Daddy has been promising Tessa a special Daddy/Daughter Date. They have a special Daddy/Daughter Date book that they have been looking through together to get some ideas. Monday evening they decided on their first date. They went up to Tessa's room after dinner and made a giant collage together. Tessa was in heaven to have her Daddy all to herself and doing an art project with him was just icing on the cake. They worked on their collage for a good 2 hours.!

This was their final product. Every picture was part of a crazy story they created.
While Tessa and Daddy were having their date, Mommy and Adam played some intense rounds of Battleship and Gwennie played Don't Spill the Beans.
After Daddy and Tessa made their collage, Adam and Tessa wanted to make their own. They spent a good chunk of Tuesday afternoon making more collages. Adam also had piano lessons and cub scouts on Tuesday. His piano teacher tells me almost weekly how gifted he is.

We have had lots of lazy mornings this week! We have spent far too many hours watching morning cartoons and taking our sweet time to get dressed and do chores. But it's been kinda nice to be lazy.
We ventured out a couple of days this week and got some back to school shopping done. The kids got the rest of their uniforms for school and they picked out new backpacks and lunchboxes.
Gwen is very into play dough right now. We made some homemade play dough one afternoon and they had fun with that. We started out with several different colors, but by the time Gwen had finished playing, she had combined them all and turned everything purple.

Tessa made the Earth.

This was the final week for the Summer Programs at the Library. Adam and Tessa went to Story Time and Mommy hung out with Gwen. She was so well behaved on the last day!! Why couldn't she have been this easy all summer?!

We spent a couple of evenings this week swimming in the backyard once it had cooled down outside. We have loved our swimming pool!

Some of our afternoons were just lazy reading and movie days. I love it when I find my kids reading. It makes my heart happy!!
On Friday night, Adam and Daddy went to BYU to watch Remember the Titans at LaVell Edwards Stadium. They got to lay out on the field and watch the movie up on the big screen. They had a great time! The girls stayed home and watchee, Say Yes to the Dress and had fun making funny faces on Mommy's phone.

Saturday was our day to run a million errands and get some shopping done. We did stop by the Farmer's Market so Adam and Tessa could collect another brag tag.
Saturday evening, Mommy and Tessa were gone for several hours doing a Princess photo shoot. I will blog about this later, but Tessa had so much fun being a princess and hanging out with Elsa, Tinkerbell and Ariel. It was every little girls dream come true!
