Carving Pumpkins

Adam has been so excited to carve our pumpkin! Adam named him "Jack". How original :)

A Spooktacular Dinner

For Halloween this year we have been having fun with our food. This is one of the only things I have remembered to take a picture of. Wednesday we had Spaghetti with "Oozing Eyes". It was fun to make and fun to watch the kids eat it. Next year I will be better about taking pictures of our fun food. I'll put the recipe on my food blog-Happy Halloween!

Why Me?!

She is only 14 months and so has a mind of her own! What am I going to do when she is a teenager?! She had been testing the waters big time this week. Don't be surprised if I have pictures from an emergency room visit sometime in the near future. Today she did not like her shirt for some reason, so she kept trying to take it off. This is how I would find her every time I turned around. After a picture for memories sake, we finally changed her. Since I was a calm, easy child, shouldn't I have calm, easy children? Oh Tessa-what am I going to do with you? Silly Girl!

Painted Pumpkins

Adam has been so excited about pumpkins this year! Since it is still too early to carve our pumpkins we let Adam paint a couple. He did a surprisingly good job and he has loved showing off his art work.

Sous Chef

This is what cooking time looks like at our house. If I am in the kitchen, Tessa is usually clinging to my legs. She is my little chef in training. Or she just really loves her mommy.

Thanksgiving Point

We had a fun Saturday morning at Thanksgiving Point. The kids had a blast!
The corn maze was a hit! Tessa loved running through the corn.
Adam insisted on taking a picture in the princess car:)

We loved the bumpy hay ride-Tessa wasn't too fond of hay in her diaper however
Nothing like a giant chair to make a girl feel skinny!
Her new favorite word-"cheese!"

Crazy Girl

I know I have posted pictures of her crazy sleeping habits before, but these are the best yet! I have no idea how she can sleep like this.
Don't worry-we didn't leave her this way!

Halloween Fun

Adam is finally old enough to understand the holidays and I am loving it! We have been making yummy treats to eat and started doing some Halloween crafts. He loves our decorations around the house and will now point out the houses that are not decorated for Halloween and say, "Mommy that house is NOT ready for Halloween". Showing off his feet ghosts
We had friends over the other night and we had fun making Frankenstein cone cakes

I love baking this time of year!! Here is this weeks treat-baked apples with vanilla sauce. Check out my food blog for the recipe. It is super good!!

There is such satisfaction when you create something! I have been adding to our home decor for the holidays and this year I decided to make some new things. I made this candy pot witch and the witches hat. The hat looks better in person-guess you'll have to come see the real thing.

Happy Halloween!!

Grandma's Funeral

We survived our whirlwind trip to California over the weekend for my Grandma's funeral. It was a lousy reason to see so many family and friends, but it was still good to see everyone. Grandma looked good considering what her poor body has been through lately and all of her flowers were beautiful. It was difficult to say a final goodbye, but I am grateful for so many wonderful memories. I am lucky to have had such wonderful Grandmothers.
Mom, Kathleen and Kelsey

Amie, Shannon and me-it was fun to catch up! The 3 of us haven't been together for about 9 years.

Adam and Tessa with Grandpa Lemley

The highlight of our trip was seeing Jer, Courtney, Mya, Wynn and Paige! It was so great to see them and the kids had a blast! Adam has been begging me to take him back to their house. He loves his cousins!

Tessa was happy to find a chair just her size
