Mormon Miracle Pageant

Last night as soon as Eric got home from work, we loaded up the car and headed down to Manti to see the Mormon Miracle Pageant. We were worried about how the evening would be because of all the smoke in the air due to all of the fires burning around Utah, but the sky was a beautiful blue in Manti.
We packed a picnic dinner and had a nice evening before we got our seats for the show.

Adam and Tessa loved talking to the cast members and missionaries before the show began.

You could see all the nasty smoke in the distance.
The temple was beautiful! The kids loved the show and had so many questions. Adam loved the battle scenes between the Nephites and the Lamanites and Tessa loved the "volcano" scenes. Tessa was asking so many questions about why the Nephites and Lamanites were being naughty. At one point she whispered to Eric, "But they are only pretending not to choose the right, right Daddy?" That made us laugh.
We were glad we were able to go this year and hope to make it a new family tradition. We are thankful that we have been able to do so many fun things as a family this summer!
