Our Littlest Chef!

Summer of Fun-Week 3

It's been another fun and busy week!
Monday we made a foil river in the backyard. The kids had fun sailing their toys and rocks down the river. A perfect summer activity to keep them busy so Mommy could fold the laundry.

Monday we had fun playing board games and games on the wii. For FHE that night, we drove down to see how our temple (in Payson) is coming along. Then we went to the Big Red Barn for an ice cream treat to celebrate finishing 2nd Nephi a few weeks ago.

Before Tessa had gymnastics on Tuesday, we stopped by the Springville Art Museum and had a really fun time there!

Adam and Tessa thought these sculptures looked like thumbs.
We were all amazed by the "water machine".
 A buffalo made from chains
Tessa was thrilled to find something "so golden!" and with a crown!
Adam took a guess at what this might be...he wrote, "A giant circle ladder."

This pretty much says it all!

We loved the Expressions exhibit! The kids got to leave a note to the artist telling him what they thought of his pictures.

Tuesday night, Mommy got to take a cooking class. Mamma and Bampa met up with Daddy and the kids and went to watch Adam's baseball game. Adam was so glad they came!

Wednesday we met up with our buddies, the Riley's and went to the splash pad and park for a fun picnic. It was a fun afternoon!!

Gwen stayed far away from the water! She just hung out on the bench by herself, watching the kids get soaked.

Tessa was so excited to be on top of the rock mountain!
Wednesday afternoon, Ares came down to play. The kids all had fun picking strawberries and playing out in the backyard.

These girls are practically living in their swim suits!

Adam and Tessa have been so good about getting their chores done every morning so we can play! They each have more chores now that it is summer, but they do a good job getting them done everyday!

Thursday was story time again at the Library. This week we got to have some fun with bugs!
I also ran into an old collage friend that I haven't seen in about 10 years! It was so fun to see her and catch up.

While Adam was at art class, I made some bread. I ground my own wheat and everything!
Ma and Pa came down Thursday night to Adam's baseball game. He had a great home run hit that he talked about for hours. He was glad Ma and Pa were there to see it! After his baseball game, there was a very important NBA championship game on. Adam gets so excited, he hardly sits down during the games. And because I know he will ask me for the next 5 years....the Heat won!
Thursday was also art project day. The kids made some salt art. They had fun being creative and their pictures turned out really cute!

Friday was Flag Day!

We started our day off with some red, white, and blue pancakes and the Pledge of Allegiance.
We got out our 4th of July decorations and the kids were excited to see all of our 4th of July books!

 We made flag t-shirts

I went through my craft supply and pulled out a ton of stuff for the kids to make some flag art. Both did a good job of thinking out of the box!

For lunch we had red, white, and blue pasta!
For a snack/treat we decorated ice cream cones.

 Love my little chefs!

Friday night, Adam and Tessa got to go have a sleepover at Ma and Pa's house. They had so much fun and can't wait for their next one!

Saturday was spent swimming in the backyard. I really need to get these poor kids a pool that they fit in. But, they make the most of it and have tons of fun playing together!
