Spring Break 2016- Day 3

Disneyland
Day 3 took us to The Happiest Place On Earth!! We were up bright and early and were so excited to start our couple of days at Disneyland. We all had to sign our tickets. Tessa was very careful to write her name in her very best cursive.
Uncle Kevin and his family met us at the park and spent 3 days with us there. Kevin surprised our kids with special pins to wear on our first day. Caleb and Gwen were just overwhelmed by everything. Gwen has been asking for weeks what Disneyland looks like. I don't think she was disappointed. She was so happy to see the giant castle. We hurried to Tomorrowland to get Adam signed up for Jedi Academy and Caleb went bonkers seeing all the Star Wars stuff everywhere and hearing the music playing.
He was so happy to find R2D2 and C3PO
He loved seeing the pictures of Darth Vader hanging around Tomorrowland.

We were so happy to be there!! It's been a long time!

We stopped in Fantasy Land first and rode all of those fun rides. Gwen LOVED Peter Pan. She really, really wanted to ride the carousel, so when she finally got her turn, she was in heaven!
As soon as Eric put Caleb on his horse, he fell asleep! We had only been at the park for like 2 hours and he was out. Talk about overwhelmed.

They each took a turn trying to pull the sword from the stone.

Our first big fast ride for the day was Thunder Mountain. Tessa had been so worried about the fast rides. The bottom of her princess shirt said, "Be Brave, Be Strong, Be Kind". I caught her several times during the day looking at her shirt and whispering to herself, "Be brave. Be brave." We made a big deal about her going on a roller coaster. She survived and admitted it was a tiny bit fun, but it was harder to get her on fast rides after that.
Gwennie, however, is our little dare devil She was tall enough for every fast ride, except Indiana Jones. She went on them all and loved them. After every ride she would say, "That was awesome!!"
 Adam and Uncle Kevin
Tessa loved that Disneyland had a petrified tree.
Tessa refused to try space mountain after Thunder Mountain, but Gwen loved it! And despite his face, so did Adam.
Gwen was happy to see her cousin Symphony. But she wouldn't leave poor Symphony's hair alone. Gwen kept telling Symphony, "When I grow up, I am going to be a hair cutter. Let me fix your hair!"
We were in Tomorrowland just in time to see some Storm Troopers walking around for pictures. I ran with Caleb so he could see them. The Storm Troopers were choosing kids out of the crowd to take pictures with and we were so happy when they picked Caleb. He looked a little bewildered by it all, but he was excited to see them!

Adam got chosen for a picture too!
Later in the day, we were able to see Tigger and Eeyore.
Caleb was still a little apprehensive, but he loves Pooh, so he warmed up quickly.

When we got to Eeyore, Caleb ran up and hugged him, and then realized what he had done and ran away. It was pretty funny!

While the rest of the family went on Star Tours, Mommy and Caleb hung around Tomorrowland, which was lucky because we got to see the Jedi show and we (Caleb and Mommy) about freaked out when Darth Vader came out!! I tried to get a picture of Caleb's reaction. He was amazed!!

The girls got to spend some time in the afternoon meeting a few princesses. First we got to meet Cinderella. Gwen showed Cinderella how well she twirled, so Cinderella suggested they all twirl together.

Next up was Ariel, which was my favorite part of the day. Gwen asked Ariel in she had found the shoe Gwen lost in the ocean. Ariel didn't miss a beat and their conversation was adorable!

Here is Gwen explaining what happened to her shoe.

Then Ariel asked if it was pink and "this big?" Gwen told her it was smaller and Ariel informed Gwen that she had seen it, but a sea snail had taken it was using it as its home. She asked Gwen if it was ok for the sea snail to keep it, and after a minute of considering it, Gwen consented.
Ariel thanked Gwen and told her it was the right thing to do.

Our last princess of the day, was Snow White. She talked in a high voice, just like you would imagine Snow White sounding. The girls had so much fun seeing her.

She talked to the girls about their beautiful hair and accessories.

Before we settled in for the parade, we went on one final ride for the night. We pretty much forced Tessa on, and what resulted is the best Splash Mountain picture of all time!! After the ride, Tessa said she wasn't going on anymore rides that end in mountain.

Uncle Kevin bought Tessa a Mickey Mouse cake pop for being so brave and Ma treated the kids to a Disneyland churro.
We got to watch the parade and firework show. Both were awesome and we had such a fun time watching them! Our favorite part was when it started to "snow". It was Disney magic at its best and we loved every minute of it!!!
