Our summer adventure for the day took us out to the middle of nowhere to visit the historical site of the Golden Spike. We joined my family and traveled up to Promontory Point in very northern Utah.
Our diva princess ready for her day out!
We had a lot of fun seeing the trains! The actual Golden Spike is at the Smithsonian. It was fun to learn about what an event this was back in 1896.
Sitting on the "golden wood".
The kids had fun playing on the train tracks.
See, purse and crown everywhere we go.
Tessa loved talking to the birds.
Tessa and Ma
Tessa liked the red train, because red is her favorite color.

Adam had fun watching a train robbery movie with Aunt Katy.
Uncle Ben got a lot out of the movie too.
Showing off their new train penny's.
On our way back home we stopped at ATK to see some rockets. We were being eaten alive by mosquitoes, so we didn't stay very long.
Adam and a rocket booster
Uncle Ben helped Tessa find her echo inside the giant rocket.
