4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July weekend this year! It was packed full of family and fun and we were exhausted by the end of it all. It was worth it though!
On Friday morning, we were up bright and early to go see the balloons in Provo. It has been several years since we have actually seen the balloons launch, so we were so glad to have them fly this year. Ma and Pa met us there and we had a fun morning together.

Saturday was Stadium of Fire. We camped out in front of the temple again this year and had a prime spot for fireworks. We spent hours playing on the big field and had a great time. This year, all of our Lemley family joined us as well as the Gallegos'. We also had a little birthday party for Ma. The fireworks were a little dull this year, but we had a lot of fun anyways!!

 Bubbles!

Uncle Matt teaching Tessa to play Lacrosse.

They had to keep themselves occupied while we waited in a 20 minute bathroom line.
 Ma's birthday cupcakes-with all 57 candles lit!

Sunday was Ma's birthday, so we went up to celebrate her day with her.

Monday morning, bright and early was the parade. Uncle Andrew was super nice and camped out for us so we had a good spot.

Adam and Tessa were happy to read Ma's newspaper while we waited for the parade to start.

Saying thank you to our police officers.

 Caleb loved the "Memo" balloon!

 Adam cheering for Coach Rose
Gwen curtsied for all the royalty in the parade. It was darling. A few of the Princesses curtsied back to her.
Cheering for our KSL news anchors. My weirdo kids LOVE the news. Especially Adam.

Lots of high fives for all the missionaries.

Too much excitement for the little man.

After the parade, Daddy and the kids swam in the backyard for a bit.

Then we headed to Ma an Pa's house in the afternoon for a barbecue. Katy planned some fun activities for the kids, we ate lots of good food, and the kids had fun playing with all the cousins that were there!

Once it was dark, we did some fireworks (on Ma and Pa's newly paved road).
Adam built a giant whip out of glow sticks.
 The fireworks crowd!
It was a great holiday and we had such a great weekend together. We are so thankful for our country and our freedom. And for all those, past and present, who sacrifice so much for our freedom.
