Adam's Baptism

Yesterday was a big day for our family and especially for Adam. Adam was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. He has been so anxious for this day to come and we have been working on getting him ready for this day for a long time.

Adam looked so grown up in his white clothes and was so glad to have his Daddy be worthy and able to baptize and confirm him.

We were so thankful for everyone who came to his special day. Bampa and Pa both gave the prayers and were the witnesses for Adam's baptism. Ma gave a talk on baptism and Mamma gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Adam said that after he came out of the water he felt like crying and he got a little teary eyed when Mamma mentioned that the Holy Ghost would be a good friend to him, just like Teddy Elephant.

We are so proud of Adam and the choice he made to be baptized and become a member the of the Church. He is an amazing kid and everyone who meets him can tell that there is something special about him. We are always being told by his teachers at school and church how awesome he is!
We had the family over for lunch after the baptism and then decided to keep the day a special family day, so we took the kids to BYU to check out the new Bean Museum.

We told Adam he could pick somewhere to go for treats to celebrate his big day. We laughed when he told us that all he wanted was to try a Kong Cone from the grocery store. So, that's what he got! He also got to stay up super late with Mommy and Daddy and watch a Harry Potter movie. He said it had been the best day ever!
We love you Big Guy and are so proud of you!!!
