Tessa Boo Turns 6!!

Where does the time go? Tessa seems to have grown up so fast. I don't know how she can possibly be six already. I feel like she should still be my tiny baby-although I am glad that phase of her life was a short one.
Tess has been counting down the days for her big birthday! She made her own little countdown chart on her chore chart. This year she wanted a dinosaur birthday party. She planned the food and decorations. She is our very creative girl!
On Friday night, Tessa got her special birthday dinner out with Mommy and Daddy. She chose to go to Red Robin. For some reason, the thinks they have an awesome cheese pizza. When she took her first bite, she said, "They've outdone themselves!!" Her dinner was a hit!

Saturday was her special day and she requested pancakes for her special birthday breakfast.

She got to help decorate her dinosaur birthday cake.

Her dinosaur vision was to have dinosaur footprints around the house, fire balls falling from the sky, and a chocolate fountain to represent a volcano with flowing lava. So, that's just what we did.

 A new kite!

A while back, Tessa asked Aunt Dee to make her a dinosaur night cap. Why, I have no idea. But, Aunt Dee came through and Tessa couldn't have been more thrilled! Now she has requested dinosaur mittens and a scarf.
She asked for a princess alarm clock.

She got some dinosaur skeleton toys and the kids wasted no time in becoming little paleontologists in the backyard. They spent a good couple of hours digging dinosaurs out of the sandbox.

It took her like 20 blows to get all 6 candles out.

Don't report me to DCFS. My kids drink out of the hose....

She said it was an awesome birthday and she is so happy to be 6! Her alarm clock woke her up this morning and then she woke Mommy up to ask if she could wear her new clothes. She has spent all day playing with her new toys and has loved every minute of it!
 We love you, Tessasaurus!!!!
Happy, Happy 6th Birthday!!

Summer of Fun-Week 10

The kids don't start school for two more weeks, but I think this was Mommy's last week of summer fun. Tomorrow is the big day we have been waiting for and we are all so anxious to see and hold our little Caleb!

Last Sunday, Tessa and I made some banana bread together. Tessa did almost all of the measuring and pouring herself. The bread tasted great, but the oven needed a good cleaning afterwards. I love having little cooks in the house and was happy to see how proud Tessa was.
Monday night, we were lucky enough to get tickets from Aunt Jan and Uncle Lynn to see Mary Poppins at the Hale Center Theater. Daddy stayed home with Gwen, so it was just Mommy, Adam, Tessa and we took Uncle David too. Tessa wanted to wear her Princess Anna dress and she got several compliments throughout the evening.

 We loved the sets!

It was such a fun production! We had a lovely evening at the theater.
Tuesday, after piano lessons, we visited Aunt Jodi for hair cuts.

 38 1/2 weeks! Almost done!!
On Friday, we had some of our dearest friends stop by for a visit before they headed home to Chicago. We have known the Littlemore's since we lived in Ogden. Jenny and I had a wonderful couple of hours catching up on life in more detail than we get to in texts and Adam and Ethan had so much fun playing together! I wish they lived closer! These boys would be the best of friends!

They have known each other since they were 6 months old.
We had a fun weekend celebrating Tessa's birthday.  More on that in the next post.
Now we have our hospital bags packed, the house is mostly clean and the laundry is done. We are ready for it to be baby time!!
