The Frozen Party

Last Friday, Aunt Katy had a Frozen Party for the kids. They have been so excited for this party and couldn't wait for the party to start! Aunt Katy did some really cute things with food and activities. She had the family room decorated with snowflakes and had lots of munchies for everyone to enjoy.

We had jell-o that looks like ice cubes, carrots, build your own snowman doughnuts, strawberries that looked like frozen hearts, and frozen blue punch.
The kids got to decorate their own mugs to have frozen hot chocolate in at the end of the party.

Gwen loves to color and ended up with a very colorful mug!
The kids got to make their own snowman pizza's and then eat them while they watched the movie Frozen.

They had such a fun time! Thanks Aunt Katy for such a fun night!

Adam

The new favorite after school activity for Adam and the other neighborhood boys, is to stand on the corner and see how many cars they can get to honk. They love this!!! There are lots of high fives when a car honks for them.

On Saturday, Adam got to participate in a football camp put on by the coaching staff at the high school. He had a blast and can't wait to go again next month. He even thought getting hit in the eye was awesome. He was kind of disappointed he didn't get a black eye from the blow.

 Adam is in there somewhere....

I wanted to stay and take more pictures of him, but Gwen was not cooperating. At least we got a couple of our little athlete.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day was fun and very green for our little family this year. Sunday night, we read "The Legend of the Leprechaun" and then the kids decorated their treasure box and left it in the moonlight for our Leprechaun to fill.

Gwen got to decorate the inside of the box.
Adam and Tessa were up bright and early Monday morning to find a green mess left by the Leprechaun all over the house. Tessa was convinced she had heard a Leprechaun giggling during the night.

They found their treasure and were excited about all of their new green treats!

We let Gwen sleep in because she hasn't been feeling very good. Adam was excited to show her everything they got. Gwennie was most excited about the bubbles!
We had our favorite green pancakes and rainbow fruit for breakfast and Mommy made some other fun green foods to eat for other meals. Tessa loved her green pasta for lunch!
They wore as much green as they possibly could. Tessa even had me paint her nails green. She was so excited to wear this rainbow ribbon in her hair. Rainbow is her favorite color.

My two little beauties. We had a fun afternoon together.
We had delicious Ruben Sandwiches for dinner and finished up our evening with some Shamrock shakes for  a Family Home Evening treat. It was a very happy St. Patrick's Day!

Life....

Life around here is never dull. And that's just the way we like it.
These two girls love bath time! They love being in water in general, but they love taking baths! As of recently, bath time has turned into torture time. They both like to see who can make the other one scream the loudest. My ears are ringing and the floor is soaked by the time they are done, but at least they are having fun.

Adam was invited to attend the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. He was excited about this for weeks and is constantly asking what exact day he gets to go to Scouts. I can't believe he is that old!
Before I knew it, he had inhaled 2 hot dogs, plus a bunch of other food. We learned not to make a growing boy wait too long for his dinner.

In more Adam news, he started piano lessons last week and is loving it! His teacher said he is the most ready boy she has ever had. We are excited to watch and hear his progress.
A couple of weeks ago, he finished the 4th Harry Potter book and is already halfway through the 5th book.
Ma surprised him at school last Friday as the Mystery Reader for his class!
Here's a lame shot of my 15 week belly a couple of weeks ago. Gwen was not cooperating, so I didn't get a good picture. My belly continues to grow and I am finally starting to feel this baby move!
For the past several weeks, all I have wanted is fruit. I have eaten more grapes and strawberries than I care to admit.
 My early morning snuggle buddies.
On weekends when Daddy is away, I am usually joined by these two who think every night and early morning should be a slumber party. And by early, I'm talking 6:30 on a Saturday morning. I can't get Tessa out of bed on school days, but she can't sleep in on the weekend. Go figure.
Gwennie is our chips and salsa girl. Once her chips are gone, she drinks the salsa like it's leftover milk. She is constantly asking for her favorite snack.
Tessa's birthday note to her cousin, Symphony. We all loved how she spelled "Symphony".
Tessa rockin' her new hat. I love her elf ears.
Our weather has been crazy lately! One day we are totally bundled up in our winter clothes and the next day the kids are outside digging for worms.
Last Sunday I was "that mom" in church, taking pictures of my kids. Gwen just looked too cute coloring so intensely. I had to snap a quiet shot. Gwen loves to sing-especially the hymns during Sacrament meeting. She has to sit with her own hymn book in her lap and she sings gibberish at the top of her lungs during each hymn. She had us all laughing last Sunday as she ended her song with the grand finale, "In Summer!!!!!!"

Eric Turns 33!!

Yesterday, Eric turned the big 33! Sadly he had school all weekend with 2 big projects and presentations to present. He said both went well and he and I are both extremely grateful that they are over. One of his presentations was for his Capstone project. He has been working on it for months now and after working 12 hour days lately, he would come home and spend a couple hours working on his project and presentation at night. I feel like we survived a major milestone in his education and I am so proud of him for working so hard and doing so well. I am proud of myself for not pulling all of my hair out!
Since Eric was at school, we did a little birthday celebrating without him. I took the kids to Krispy Kreme for a Daddy birthday breakfast.

Gwen loved watching the doughnuts go through the wall of frosting.
They anxiously waited for Daddy to get home from school that afternoon. They decorated the house with balloons and signs. As soon as he unpacked from his weekend away, they insisted it was present time!

Gwen is totally into birthdays right now and helped Daddy open his new camera for his trip to Europe in a few weeks.

This picture kills me!! I can't get enough of it! Tessa made her Daddy a special birthday card and taped money from her piggy bank all over it. He opened and yelled, "I'm rich!!". Tessa could not have been more thrilled with his reaction!

Adam also made a card with some piggy bank money and a coupon for one free day of playing with the kids. Lucky Daddy!!
He also got some new luggage for his trip.
We made his favorite birthday cheesecake and got him his favorite ice cream. Gwen couldn't wait to sing, "Cha Cha Cha!"

He got all 33 candles in one blow!
Happy birthday to the most wonderful husband and daddy!! We love you and are so proud of you!!
