The Dinosaur Park

Saturday we surprised the kids with a family outing and they didn't know where we were going until we got there. Tessa is obsessed with Dinosaurs, so we took them up to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. We have never been there before and it did not disappoint! They were so surprised and excited once we finally arrived.
Tess was like a kid in a candy store. She just ran from one fossil to the next.

They had some pretty cool robotic dinosaurs to look at. Tessa thought they were cool until Daddy tried to feed her to them.
 Gwen was not so sure...
There was even a room full of jewels. Tessa was in heaven. Dinosaurs and jewels! She found a diamond that was 44 thousand karats!

Gwen finally got brave enough to touch a dinosaur bone.

Daddy will be paying for her therapy someday.

We even got to spend some time watching a Paleontologist work on some fossils.
Outside the museum is a park full of dinosaurs. We could have spent hours out there. We had so much fun seeing all the dinosaurs, exploring hidden paths and trying to scare the pants off each other.

Tessa wanted to try and look just like this dinosaur-whatever it's name it. She could tell you.

Adam pretending to run away from the dinosaur while playing football.

The last thing we saw were these dinosaur heads and Tessa really wanted to touch their teeth.
It was a fun afternoon and Eric and I loved watching how excited all 3 kids got over finding new dinosaurs. It was kind of weird to be back in Ogden and to see our old stomping ground. We showed Adam his first house and saw the new temple and had a lot of fun reminiscing about our early days of marriage in freaking Ogden. Sometimes, we wish we could get those quiet and slower days back.
