Happy Fall!

The leaves are changing and the weather is finally getting cooler. We love Autumn at our house and we had some fun this last week to celebrate its arrival.
Adam and Tessa made some stained glass leaves to decorated with. They turned out lovely!

We did some of our favorite Johnny Appleseed activities as well. Mommy squeezed into their little tent and we read some books on Johnny Appleseed.
 We made Johnny Appleseed hats.
And everybody helped make an apple cake. This proved that we need a bigger kitchen!
They each helped with the measuring and pouring.
They also discovered a new toy. The apple peeler was a hit and they each took turns peeling all the apples. Even Tessa!

While they waited for their cake to bake, they watched the Johnny Appleseed cartoon.
We love this time of year and are excited for more beautiful fall weather, football games and lots of apples and pumpkins!

Princess Tea Party

Yesterday, I go to escort these 2 beautiful Princesses to a Royal Tea Party at the Springville Art Museum.
They put on their best princess clothes and we headed out for a morning of fun.

Waiting for the party to begin.
All of the Art City Royalty was there and my girls were thrilled to see some real princesses!

The girls filled out a small paper telling a few thing  about themselves.

Tessa, of course, drew a dinosaur on the back of her paper.
The first activity was a royal puppet show. Both girls loved it!

After the show, all the girls got to meet and touch the puppets.
Tessa even got to try out the dragon.
Next was craft time. Each princess made a craft kit for a boy or girl in the hospital and then they got to make one for themselves.
Gwen was lucky enough to get some one on one time with the Art City Queen. Gwen was glued to her side after this.

Next was a tour of the Royal Art Gallery. The girls went around and picked out art work that would like to hang in their own castle. Tessa loved this pictures because of all the red, the red hair, and the giant plate of french fries.

Next was dancing. This was Gwen's favorite part. She just twirled and twirled....

Our final activity was some snacks and a fashion show. They made each guest an edible garden. Tessa wouldn't touch any of the food. But she liked how they made a snail out of celery.

We finished off our morning with a fashion show. Each girl was escorted in as their little cards were read. We learned each girls name, age, what they liked to do, who their favorite princess was and what they wanted to be when they grow up.

We had such a fun morning being princesses. Both girls say they can't wait to go again next year!
