Spring Sports

Tessa started gymnastics again about a month ago. She is at a new gym that is actually teaching her gymnastics. She has improved so much over the last month and says that she is the best in her class when it comes to doing bridges.

Adam started soccer about a month ago and had his last game tonight. His team this season was the Typhoons. He has loved playing soccer and has had some really good kicks and assists. He loves running up and down the field. His sisters have been good little cheerleaders for him!

Mommy's Birthday

Last Thursday, Mommy turned 35! That sounds so much older than 34.

It was pretty much a normal, crazy day for us, with the exception of going out to lunch with Ma and Ben. Gwen was thrilled to have chips and salsa for lunch!
Caleb's birthday present to me was learning how to pull himself up on to furniture. He is learning all these new tricks way to fast!
A sweet neighbor brought me some yummy treats from BYU.
The afternoon was spent doing homework, kids dentist appointments, and Adam's soccer game.
After dinner Mommy got to open a couple of presents and we had cake and ice cream.
Daddy got me a cd and Tessa gave me a Teddy Bear (that was mine).

Adam wrote me another fun poem.

35 is a lot of candles!
Friday night, Eric and I got to go to dinner for my birthday and Saturday and I went out with Kristin for the evening. It was fun to get away for a few hours and relax.
Sunday we went to Ma and Pa's house to celebrate the April birthdays.

Tessa had a plan for the birthday candles. Since it was Becky, Matt and Andrew's birthday's, she thought we should have the candles spell "BAM". Pa put her in charge of making her vision come to life.

Mattman was a little eager and blew out the candles before Andrew and I were ready.

I have so much to be grateful for. Hopefully 35 only means good things!

Adam

Adam had some exciting events last week. On Wednesday evening, he got to participate with his school in the Hope of America program at BYU.  We have been practicing songs and choreography for months in preparation for this event.
He got to be in the blue part of the flag and sat in the upper left hand corner. Pa spotted him first from across the room and we were able to keep our eyes on him through the whole show. He did a great job and I am so glad he got to participate in something so special!
The last song they performed was "We Can Be A Light" and they had actions they did with flashlights. It was beautiful and moving and my favorite part of the night!

Ma and Pa were able to come and watch Adam. He was glad to have them there.

On Saturday, Daddy and Adam met up with Uncle Mattman to go shooting. This was Adam's first time shooting a gun. He was excited and I was nervous. I kept myself busy while they were gone so I didn't worry too much. Our windows are really clean now!
They had a lot of fun and Daddy said Adam did really well for his first time. They both said Matt was a really good teacher. Adam liked the targets and the smaller guns, but wasn't a huge fan of the shotgun. He didn't like the kick that came with the shot.
