Tessa saw her doctor today for her eight week check up. He was glad to see how well she was doing and said that she is a healthy little girl. She weighed 9 lbs (9 lbs 1 1/2 oz on our scale) and is 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 10th percentile for her weight and the 50th for her height. He said she will probably just be a little girl-somebody has to be the small kid in the class. So much for me getting my chubby baby. I talked with him about our breastfeeding challenge and he encouraged me to keep trying and said that if I could give her breast milk through the winter, that would be ideal. That will keep me going a bit longer.
Adam had a funny moment at the doctors office. He has been asking to go back to see the doctor since I took him in on Monday. He keeps coming up with things that are wrong with him and says, "I need doctor!" So today when I put Tessa down on the exam table Adam said quietly, but loud enough for us to hear, "No baby Tess, my doctor." I laughed so hard! If that is the only thing he has a problem sharing, I think we are pretty lucky.

Why was Adam at the Doctor's on Monday? That is very funny!!!
Nice to know he still likes the going to the doctor. Liv loves to go....when someone else is being seen. As for the breast feeding, don't stress yourself out. I never got milk and Liv is just fine. I think sometimes docs push it a little too hard. I had one nurse make me feel like I was a horrible mom because I couldn't breast feed, but we are so fortunate to live in a time when there are great supplements, it's not like this is the 1800 and that is the only way to keep a child healthy. Hang in there!!! I know it's tough!
