A Very Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas and can't believe it's already over!
Christmas Eve was spent with my family. Kevin didn't get off of work until 7pm, so I came up with some games for the kids to play to help pass the time. We played pin the carrot nose on the snowman, the present game, and pass Rudolf's nose.
Rudolf's nose was by far my favorite! The kids loved it!
We had a yummy turkey dinner
Dad reads the "Polar Express" every Christmas Eve
We came home and got treats ready for Santa and his reindeer
Santa did not disappoint this year! He brought the kids a toy kitchen and pillow pets!
Adam was thrilled to see his treats had been eaten!
Loving those pillow pets!
Tessa had a very Cinderella Christmas and LOVES her glass slippers!
I got more cookbooks!
Adam got his big, red firetruck
Eric got a new jacket
David dressed as Buddy the Elf and had us all dying of laughter for most of the day!
Adam got Mouse Trap from Ma and Pa
Tessa got her Princess dress and crown from Ma and Pa
Aunt Amy got them toy cell phones....they were a hit!
A funny cake book from Mom and Dad Nielson for me
A tent for Adam from Mamma and Bampa
A princess computer for Tess from Mamma and Bampa
It was wonderful to spend so much time with our families and have time together this weekend with our own little family! We had a very merry Christmas!!

White Christmas
The weatherman said we were only going to get rain the last two days, so imagine our surprise when we woke up to 18 inches of snow!! We have been dumped on here in little Spanish Fork and it just keeps coming. These pictures don't do it justice. I spent an hour and a half shoveling our driveway this morning and now every part of my body aches. I am not leaving the house today, considering the garbage truck and the FedEx truck got stuck on our street. We are having a snow day....lots of Christmas stories and movies. Adam wants to go make a snow angel, but I am afraid he would sink in this much snow and I wouldn't be able to find him. It literally comes up to almost his waist! At least we will have a white Christmas!

Adam loves cars....we all know this. Lately, he has been learning street signs pretty much all on his own. If he finds a speed limit sign, he tells us how fast we can go, he'll tell us if we can't make a u-turn, or to watch out for deer, or no turning right or left on certain streets. He is pretty good at figuring out what most of the signs mean. Last week he saw a sign that looked like the one above and had us dying of laughter when he announced, "No writing P's on the road!". We'll have to work on that one.

Moments...
I just wanted to share some random moments from the past couple of weeks. My kids would live in the water if I let them! They are both such fish!
A couple of Sunday's ago Tessa refused to take a nap. About 15 minutes later I found her like this.....
Adam has decided that he wants to make his own sandwiches. He loves peanut butter and banana sandwiches and I didn't know he was making one this particular day. He insists using a fork to spread peanut butter is easier than a knife.
We need to practice a bit......
Tessa has become quite opinionated about what "pretties" go in her hair. Lately, she wants every barrette she owns in her hair at the same time. I actually had some lady stop me in the store last week and ask me if that was Tessa's idea or mine. I think that even on my worst dressed day you would be able to tell that this was not my idea.

Temple Square
Last night we bundled everybody up and went to Temple Square to look at all of the beautiful lights. We had such a fun evening together. Christmas is so magical!
The kids loved the lions on the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. They attracted a crowd while showing off their scary lion faces. It was pretty funny.
They have several nativity sets from different parts of the world.
I love all the luminaries. They remind me of sweet Bishop Harris.
