Young Women General Broadcast
This weekend was exhausting! I worked a 14 hour shift on Friday and then a 6 hour shift on Saturday. After work, I ran home for 20 minutes to change my clothes and headed up to Salt Lake with my girls for the Young Women General Broadcast. I didn't get home until after the kids were in bed both nights. I had meetings all morning on Sunday, but the kids were sick, so I finally got to see them for 2 hours Sunday afternoon while Eric went to Sacrament Meeting and I stayed home with them. By the time I got home from church Sunday evening, I didn't know whether to sit down and cry or go for a jog around the block so I didn't fall asleep in my dinner. I was grateful to finally be home with my family, to say the least.
(My cute secretary who is very pregnant and a trooper for marching all over Salt Lake with us.)While it was insanely busy, going to the broadcast with my girls and my presidency was such a wonderful experience. I don't know how much the girls got out of it, but I left so spiritually fed! I feel so blessed to work with the young women and feel such a responsibility for them. I was so grateful for Sister Dalton's talk and President Uchtdorf's talk. Both were so powerful and applicable to women of all ages. I am so thankful we were able to attend the broadcast together-hopefully it will be the first of many!

Adam's Night Out
We have been so busy lately, we hardly get to have any "family time". Eric and I decided that we needed an Adam Night Out, so we took him miniature golfing. It was Adam's first time at a golf course and he loved it! I am so glad we took our video camera because he was hilarious to watch. His hands and feet were used far more than his golf club.
Using his hands to get his ball in the hole
After we finished our game I asked Adam where he would like to go for a treat. Without missing a beat he yelled, "In-N-Out!!" He always asks to stop there for shakes. We don't go very often, but he is a happy boy when we do!!
Thanks for a fun night out Adam! We love you so much!!

St. Patrick's Day
I'm a bit behind-here is what we did for St. Patrick's Day! For breakfast I made green eggs and ham, green toast and a rainbow of fruit. Since Tessa won't eat eggs or fruit- she got green pancakes.
We had a party with all our little neighbor friends. We made really good cupcakes to share!
We had fun day playing and eating with all our friends. The kids made shamrock hats, ate lots of green food and played hard! We are loving the warmer weather!!!
We had a cake walk before the kids could eat our cupcakes. They loved it!
I made a few new things for the house this year. Nothing was very fancy and it all looks very homemade, but I had fun making it all.
Adam made this shamrock out of paper plates. I love it and can't bring myself to take it down.

Eric's Birthday
Eric's birthday was so busy, that I forgot to take pictures most of the day. We surprised Eric at work with a special lunch, balloons and lots of cupcakes. He came home to a yummy dinner of steak and shrimp (I broke down after 5 1/2 years of marriage and made him some real man's food) and a birthday party with our families. He said it was a great day! We thought that a great daddy and a wonderful husband deserved a great birthday!
Adam wanted to get a "Cars" game so he and daddy had a game they could play together.
Eric really wanted some new running shoes....
Tessa loved them!
Lots of birthday loves!!
Tessa got daddy a football-one of her favorite things!
His traditional Pralines and Caramel Cheesecake-he did a pretty good job with all 29 candles.
Happy Birthday Eric!! We love you!

Our Random Tessa Boo
Here's a glimpse at Tessa's week. She keeps us laughing!
Her utensil of choice at dinner the other night. She prefers the tablespoon.
I tried giving her a regular spoon, but she wouldn't have anything to do with it. It didn't seem to bother her to have to open her mouth extra wide.
She refused to put her pj's on, but had to have a hat on. Adam is drilling her on her ABC's in Sign Language. She loves the alphabet and knows several letters!
This is how she watched most of the Olympics. Actually, this is how she watches TV all the time-standing right in front of it. This drives Adam crazy!!
She went Jewish on us. Her Yamaka is her dolls hat-but she HAD to wear it! She tried for several minutes to get it to fit her head. She eventually gave up and settled for this.
