Young Women General Broadcast

This weekend was exhausting! I worked a 14 hour shift on Friday and then a 6 hour shift on Saturday. After work, I ran home for 20 minutes to change my clothes and headed up to Salt Lake with my girls for the Young Women General Broadcast. I didn't get home until after the kids were in bed both nights. I had meetings all morning on Sunday, but the kids were sick, so I finally got to see them for 2 hours Sunday afternoon while Eric went to Sacrament Meeting and I stayed home with them. By the time I got home from church Sunday evening, I didn't know whether to sit down and cry or go for a jog around the block so I didn't fall asleep in my dinner. I was grateful to finally be home with my family, to say the least.
(My cute secretary who is very pregnant and a trooper for marching all over Salt Lake with us.)

While it was insanely busy, going to the broadcast with my girls and my presidency was such a wonderful experience. I don't know how much the girls got out of it, but I left so spiritually fed! I feel so blessed to work with the young women and feel such a responsibility for them. I was so grateful for Sister Dalton's talk and President Uchtdorf's talk. Both were so powerful and applicable to women of all ages. I am so thankful we were able to attend the broadcast together-hopefully it will be the first of many!

I only heard the end of Pres. Uchtdorf's talk and it was wonderful. I called my mom and told her Bea needed to be watching it. Hey, let me know if you ever need a break off in the evening.

I watched parts of the YW broadcast yesterday. Okay, I slept through most of it. I loved the singing. And the colors the choir wore. When I was watching it, I wondered if you were there! What an awesome experience!!!
