Summer is coming to end and with everything we have had going on, I feel like I forgot to blog so many things. Library trips, swimming lessons, mornings out in the yard, trips up the canyon, holidays and so many other adventures. I am thankful for the memories we made this summer and for the blessing of being a mother. Everything is better with kids around!

Sleepless in Spanish Fork
We were spoiled by Adam. He has always been such a good sleeper and so good about bedtime. Tessa is an entirely different story! We made the switch from crib to big girl bed last week and I don't think I have had a solid 3 hours sleep in about a week. She will not fall asleep or stay asleep unless I am in the bed with her. Now she has a cold and our nights have been even worse. On Sunday she stayed in her bed for a while without me and when I went to check on her, this is what I found. Perhaps if she slept inside the bed she might stay asleep. I just keep telling myself....this too shall pass. I'll sleep when I'm 80.

6th Anniversary
On Saturday Eric and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. I can't believe how fast 6 years has gone by. The best part of the weekend was actually getting to see each other! We spent most of Friday and all of Saturday together. We had to adjust some of our plans when I came home Thursday night with a sprained ankle-oops!
Friday we drove down to Manti and did a session at the temple and then went to dinner. Saturday we were going to go hiking, but I couldn't walk. We ended up doing some Christmas shopping for the kids (we are on the countdown!) and Eric was sweet and took me to one of my favorite kitchen supply stores. Then we headed to Salt Lake and went to lunch at a place called Lone Star Taqueria. AMAZING food!! I heard about this place on TV a while ago and then it was on the Food Network-so I had to try it. I cannot wait to go back!! It was delicious!
See what I mean?! A serious burrito!!!
We realized that the 3 of our 6 anniversaries that we have been able to be together on, we have gone to see a movie. This year was no exception. Eric has been so excited to see Inception and I must say-it did not disappoint! Thanks to my family who took the babies so we could run away for a while. Happy Anniversary to us!
David's Eagle Court of Honor
Last week was my brother David's Eagle Court of Honor. He has had a big year-graduating high school, getting accepted to BYU, 2 interviews with Bronco, preparing for a mission next year and now his Eagle. We are very proud of him!
Tessa liked the stars on the cake
Davey Baby (as we loving call him)
Andrew and Ben walked with him through his scouting journey and Kevin conducted
Danny was the voice of the Eagle
The Eagle's nest
I was very surprised when David presented me with his mentor pin. That is something I will always treasure!
Katy, Kevin, Andrew, Ben, Danny, me and David. We are missing Mattman who is on his mission in Texas.
This is more like it.....
Mom, David and Dad
He did it!

Tessa's Birthday
Tessa's birthday began with a run to the grocery store. She got her favorite breakfast-doughnuts and chocolate milk. It doesn't get much better than that!
She got to play all day long while mom was busy creating her birthday cake. She had a Little Einstein's Birthday-so I did my best.
Our beautiful birthday girl
Aunt Katy had to help with opening presents. Well, she really just had to keep Adam out of the way. He was thrilled with all of the new toys she got. He constantly reminds Tessa that she got the toys to share with him.
She blew the candles out all by herself!
Trying out her new fairy wings with Uncle Gordon
Checking out her new outfit in the mirror
It was a fun party! Thanks to all who came! Tessa also made the transition from crib to big girl bed this week. Thanks to Mamma and Bampa's awesome Tinkerbell lamp, she hasn't had a problem going to (or staying in) bed since Sunday! She loves being a "big girl"! She also had her 2 year check up today. She is 34 inches long and weighs 24 lbs. The doctor said she is long and lean and perfectly healthy. The doctor couldn't believe how well she speaks and how many words she knows. I didn't mention that she knows the entire alphabet and can count better than Adam. She is super smart and so stinking cute. It is so much fun to watch her little personality develop. She makes us laugh all the time! We are so lucky to have her!!
Happy Birthday Tessa!
I am a bit behind with my blogging. I spent all of Tessa's birthday making her cake, so this post is 2 days late. Monday Tessa turned 2! I can't believe how fast the last 2 years have gone by.
