My cousin Whitney got married this past weekend and the kids and I got a ride with my parents and went down for the party. I haven't been to Bakersfield since the year Eric and I got married, so I have been anxious to see my awesome Bakersfield cousins!
It ended up being a great trip, but by Friday night I was wishing we hadn't gone at all. Tessa gets car sick, but there is no indication of when she will be car sick or how bad it will be. She threw up 5 times before we got to our hotel that evening! I felt so bad for her. Luckily I came prepared with a barf bucket. She isn't sick in this picture, just being prepared! Poor girl!
Whitney and Josh were married at the Los Angeles Temple. It was so fun to go back to the temple that I grew up with and show the kids everything I love about that temple.
The sun was so bright, I had a hard time getting the kids to look at me when taking their pictures.
My kids fell in love with Richard and Debbie!
The bride and groom
It was a fun reception~ Cali style!! I must say, I miss California weddings! It was an awesome party!
Adam loved being dipped by Amie
Leora had some pretty sweet moves!
Adam and Ma
Tessa and Pa
Tessa and Uncle Andrew
Our dancing princess! She loved the dance floor!
Adam danced for about 30 minutes, then all of the sudden his eyes glazed over and he went and sat down. Within 30 seconds he was out! He slept the rest of the reception and all night long. It was hilarious and no one could believe how fast it happened.
Tessa was still going strong!
While in Bakersfield we got the greatest ice cream on the face of the earth!
Tessa's favorite place to play in the hotels was the bathtub for some reason.
Tessa's handy work
Tessa felt much better on the drive home
Adam did really well....I love his mad face.
It was a fun trip and so great to see my family! Amie and I kept the family tradition alive on Saturday night when we took the bride and groom some goodies at their hotel. Some family traditions have to stay alive...no matter how far you have to travel to make them happen!
