Summer of Fun-Week 3

Monday started off with a fun birthday party for the girls with some of their best friends, Cooper and Presely. Gwennie and Presley are the cutes best friends.
Monday we had a special 4th of July art project. We painted fireworks with straws. Gwen takes her art very seriously!

While they waited for their art to dry, we made straw rockets. These were a hit!

Their pictures turned out great!
For our Take a Trip Tuesday, we went up to Lehi and went to the Hutchings Museum. This museum was so fun! It had some of everything and was the perfect size for our little crew. They are already asking when we can go back.
Tessa found a red fox! They have the same color hair.
Adam and Tessa loved looking at all the rocks and gems. They know way more than I do about this stuff. I loved hearing their discussions and conversations. I wish I was as smart as they are.
Gwen just wanted to study Caleb.
Green glass
Tessa was so happy to see they had a dinosaur exhibit.

Digging for bones
My little Indians banging on a drum

Gwen was totally freaked out by the jail cell. Adam and Tessa make cute little jailbirds.

Tuesday night we had Pack Meeting for Adam. He got more awards and made a bottle rocket.
Wednesday we took family pictures. Those literally took up our whole day!
For Thinking Thursday, we have fun with some science experiments. We loved the pencil through the water bag.

We went to Story Time at the Library. Gwen basically spent the day throwing fits. It's hard to be a threenager.
Friday morning we got up bright and early and went to the Hot Air Balloons in Provo. We love going to see the balloons every year and we were especially pleased to see them get in the air this year.

The kids were so excited to see Smokey the Bear. Or as Gwen calls him, Smopey.

All of the kids were pooped by the time we got home. Adam and Tessa read on their beds for a bit and Gwen crashed in the car and slept for a couple of hours.

Friday afternoon was spent swimming and soaking up some sun.
We were up bright and early again on Saturday morning to watch our favorite 4th of July parade. Adam, Tessa and Ares screamed so loud for everyone and everything during the pre-parade, they were worn out by the time the actual parade started. It was pretty funny.

Caleb is always so happy! This was his first 4th of July parade and he did great!
High fiving Boba Fet
They got a ridiculous amount of candy!

Gwen fell asleep before the parade even started. She slept through most of it.

Caleb fell asleep during the parade too. Too much excitement for the little ones. Ma had fun snuggling him while he slept.
Uncle Danny loves to torment his nieces.

Dorothy Gale.
We were sad Gwennie missed her. She would have been so excited to see the Wizard of Oz characters.
Gwen woke up a while before the parade was over and was not amused by anything.
She perked up a bit when we found some princesses and Elsa blew her a kiss!

We had a bbq at Ma and Pa's house and then we headed back to Provo to watch the fireworks. We found an awesome new spot for fireworks and we are excited to make new memories there. The kids had a blast playing with other kids and Eric. Caleb crawled all over playing with his big red ball.

Gwen spotted the first fireworks

We had such a fun evening! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Caleb was way more interested in his toys than the fireworks. He chased his ball all over the grass all during the fireworks.

Poor Gwen was so excited to watch the fireworks and then she fell asleep like 20 minutes before they started. When I told her the next morning that she missed the show, she said, "Whoopsies".

Caleb, Tessa, and Gwen were all asleep by the time the show was over. I sat with the 3 sleeping babies while Eric and Adam loaded up the car.
Another fun and full week. Next weeks adventures take us to Lake Tahoe and we are so excited!!
