Christmas Eve was full of anticipation for these kids. For days, the first question Gwen had when she woke up was, "Is today Christmas Eve?" So imagine her excitement when we finally answered, yes!!
While Mommy prepared brunch, the kids watched The Grinch. The older 2 read along and recited the book with the movie. It was pretty funny to listen to.
We were so happy to have our Nielson side of the family join us for a fun Christmas Eve brunch at our house. The cousins were so happy to spend time together and we had a lovely morning together.
Uncle Gordon busted out the drone so we could take some pictures. Of course, the kids were way more excited about watching the drone than taking any pictures.
We checked the mail in the afternoon and were surprised to find letters from Santa for all the kids!
We also started tracking Santa.
We went up to Ma and Pa's house for dinner. The kids were excited to find Uncle Ben was waiting for them in his T-Rex costume.
They got to meet there new cousin, Brooklyn.
The kids table...
The grown up table...didn't get the picture memo.
The kids were shocked to see their little elf, Christopher show up at Ma and Pa's house!
Christopher left the kids with a list of chores to help clean up dinner and then some new games to play.
Uncle Danny wrote a new Christmas book for everyone. We were laughing so hard!! We love Danny's Christmas stories. Gwen was a little disturbed by it.
Pa read us Polar Express and the Christmas story from the Bible and then we got ready to head home and get ready for Santa to come.
The kids threw their reindeer food out in the front yard. (Notice our lack of snow).
They got treats ready for Santa!
We opened our Christmas Eve books.
The kids went to bed as fast as they could to read their new books.
Mommy and Daddy were up way later than we would have liked. We watched It's a Wonderful Life and gave Santa a little help when he got to our house.
