Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was happy and exciting. Mommy finally woke the kids up around 7;30. I still don't know why they don't wake up on their own on Christmas morning. We got some serious snow, so Daddy shoveled before the kids were up and Mommy and Daddy both got showered and ready for church before the kids woke up. So weird!!
Once they were up, we read the Christmas story again, we had family prayer, and we opened our firs gift of Christmas-our new picture of Jesus.

We had some happy kids! Their faces tell a perfect story of our morning.

Santa was super good to them this year!

Caleb, however, refused to get out of bed. Every time we got him out and tried taking him downstairs, he threw a massive fit. He just wanted to sleep more. We finally had to take his stocking up to him and show him there were toys waiting for him. That peaked his interest enough to get out of bed.

We got ready for church, had a nice family breakfast and went to church. It was a wonderful way to start our Christmas.

Getting all 4 kids to cooperate for a Christmas picture, was a different story.

We waited to open the rest of our presents until after church, which was so nice and we were able to really enjoy everything. The kids had a blast the rest of the day playing with all of their new things. It was a perfect Christmas!
