We Made It!

Well, we made it to Idaho! What a week! I am so glad it is over. Everything with the move went really smoothly thanks to our awesome families! Eric's parents and brother Ryan helped us load the truck on Thursday, we spent Friday in Utah County and then my parents helped us unload the truck in Idaho on Sat while my brother Andrew kept Adam busy. Before my parents left on Sunday we were pretty much settled, with a few minor things to unpack and organize. I am glad to have it mostly done. We really only have pictuers to hang up and we are done! Adam has done really well with everything going on. We set up his big boy bed the first night here and he has done pretty well with it. My biggest challenge is that he can get out, so naptime tends to be a battle. He loves his new big boy room and spend hours playing with his toys.
He had a hard night our last night in St George. This picture is him eating his lunch on what we left out of his bed. On Thursday night we slept on the floor of our living room in St George and by 1:30am he was in hysterics because he wanted his whole bed and his bedroom. Finally at 3am, Eric took Adam's mattress up to his empty bedroom and Adam went right to sleep. This kid likes his space. So far I LOVE Idaho! It is beautiful here and I love the area we live in! We had a rude awakening this morning when Eric went to work. This is how we found his car! Yes my friends, that is SNOW!!! Let me remind you all that it is JUNE 11!! The high today is only supposed to get to 53 degrees-a far cry from the 97 degrees we had last week in St George. Needless to say we are wearing socks and long sleeve shirts today. It is supposed to warm up later this week. I am planning on a rough winter. Other than that, I am excited to be here and start our life in Idaho. It has been so wonderful to have Eric work "normal" hours and come home happy and with enough energy to play with us. That will be the best thing about this move!
We feel very blessed to have had everything work out so well with the move and the opportunity for Eric to get this new job. The Lord has been very mindful of us and we are grateful for it! Come visit us in beautiful Idaho! We would love to see you!!!

Disappointed!

I had my 28 week appointment today and my doctor did another ultra-sound to check my placenta to see if it had moved. No such luck. He said it still would need to move about 4cm and even then it would be cutting it close and not worth the risks of a vaginal delivery. I am disappointed and frustrated. I was really hoping it would move. I just keep reminding myself the most important thing is to get the baby here without complications. I have a lot to worry about this week with the move to keep my mind off it it. But, I am still pretty bummed. Maybe cake will make me feel better:)

Happy Birthday Adam!

Sunday we celebrated Adam's 2nd birthday! We can't believe he is already two! He had some of his favorite food for dinner....lasagna, mashed potatoes, carrots and rolls. Gross combo I know, but you only turn 2 once.

We got him a Mr. Potato head and he was so excited! He is very into those right now thanks to Grandma's Darth Tater and Toy Story. He got right to work!
He blew out both candles all by himself!

After attempting to pick up the cupcake without getting messy, he decided to dive right in.
In the end a spoon worked the best!
To end the evening, Adam found the Indy 500 on tv and was thrilled!! We let him watch for a little while before bed. He was so concerned the cars were going to crash. He sat in his chair for about 25 minutes watching the race saying, "Vroom Vroom!" as the cars raced by.
Happy Birthday to our cute big boy!!!

Thank you Falon!!!

So my awesome neighbor Falon, who I am so sad to leave, taught me how to make bows for Tessa. We were up late on Tuesday night making most of these. I had the some of the dresses my Mom and I got while she was here for my birthday and we made matching bows. I think this will be my new addiction! I still need some practice, but for a beginner they are not too bad. Yeah for little girls!!!

Mommy Moments

I had to laugh last night when I checked on Adam before I went to bed. He always has to take his cars to bed with him and quite often this is how I will find them....lined up or set in a particular way to sleep next to him. Eric is afraid he had OCD cause he is so particular about things...I just think it is cute!

Big Boy!

This is Adam with his first "big boy" sandwich. I usually cut them into bite size pieces, but not anymore! I cut it in half and had a blast watching him go to town. He would take a bite out of one half and then a bite out of the other...back and forth, back and forth. That is how he ate the whole thing! It was pretty funny to watch. Thank goodness for cameras!!!

Tummy Time

Trying to talk to Adam about the baby usually ends like this....for some reason he loves to drive his cars across my belly. My last appointment was last Friday. Everything is looking and sounding good. I see my dr once more before we move. He will do another ultra-sound then to see about my placenta. Other that feeling like a punching bag, things are going well. Only 14 more weeks to go!!! This is Adam's new smile he shares with everyone
