Job update

Eric's interview went really well today and we both feel this job is a perfect match. We should hear back the beginning of next week if they want to do a second interview, so please keep praying for us. This would be such a huge blessing for us!!! I'll let you know if we hear anything!

PRAYERS!!!

Eric has a job interview tomorrow!! Please keep us in your prayers! We are hoping this is our answer to many prayers! We will let you know what happens. Thanks for all your love and support!

Sleepy boy

It has snowed like crazy this past month here in Springville!! One day last week it snowed all day. I put Adam down for a nap and told him after he woke up we could go play outside. I checked on him a while later and found him asleep like this. He had pulled the blinds up (the cords are now hiding) and fell asleep watching the snow fall. They don't get much cuter than this!!!

After Christmas Adventure

The Thursday before Christmas my sweet Grandma Lemley passed away rather suddenly. We were devastated and frankly still are. Her funeral was the Saturday after Christmas, so Friday we headed down to California. My parents were able to rent a 15 passenger van and we all loaded up together for the trip down. 6 parents, 3 babies, 2 young adults, 3 teenagers and an eleven year old in one big car!! It was actually a lot of fun and the kids did amazingly well!! Weather on the way down was bad, so what should have been a 3 1/2 hour drive to St George took us 5 1/2 hours. We got to CA late that evening, had the service on Saturday and headed home Sunday!! The service was nice... I think Grandma would have been pleased. Danny and Kevin gave beautiful prayers, my uncle Brian spoke, my Mom spoke, my Dad conducted and offered some remarks and I sang with my brother David and sister Katy. We sang "Barrowd Angels" which is on the playlist right now....listen to the song. It describes my Grandma perfectly!!

I miss my Grandma so much! I was going down the end of the month to visit and show Tessa off. I am sad that she will never get to see her....but Tessa now has a guardian Angel. I was the oldest grandkid on my dad's side, so my Grandma and I have always been close. I will always remember her positive outlook on life, her desire to learn and her giggle! My Grandma had a not so ideal life from start to finish, but she never complained and she was one of the most selfless people I know. She was a wonderful Grandma!! She taught me so much about how to appreciate life and I feel so blessed to have had her as my Grandma.

Christmas 2008

It has been weeks since I posted, but we have been busy! We have adjusted to life back in Utah, been applying for jobs (no luck yet), been to lots of Christmas parties, celebrated Christmas with our families, went to California the day after Christmas for my Grandma's funeral, went to Idaho to pack up our apartment, and rang in the new year! It has been a whirlwind 3 weeks!! Here is a look at what our Christmas was like. My holiday baking...not as much as I usually do, but it was still good!

Sledding on Christmas Eve....Adam LOVED it!!

Adam sampled the goodies for Santa and his reindeer

Christmas morning at Ma and Pa's house...Adam's stocking was full of fruit snacks! Tessa got formula. Poor Tessa!

Santa was good to Adam and left him a race track with race cars. He loved it!!

Uncle David was not very happy about the timpview shirt from his young men's president. Go Tigers!!

Tessa liked her stuffed hippo!

Merry Christmas!!

Tessa trying out her bumbo

Adam loved his bike-he calls it his Batman motorcycle even though it is Spiderman

Adam ended the day with that always tradition Christmas dinner of chicken nuggets, jell-o and olives. I love two year olds!
We had a great Christmas and were so grateful to be able to spend it with our families.

Festival of Trees

This past week we went to the Festival of Trees with my family and had a great time! This is something I love about Christmas in Utah and I am glad we were able to go this year.

I LOVE the gingerbread houses!! They made me want to create something yummy.
This was the Wizard of Oz

This castle was crazy huge! It took 100 pounds of flour and like 15 pounds of sugar to make the gingerbread for this. It was amazing!!

This was my favorite and someday I will recreate it for a birthday party!

Considering all the toys he couldn't play with...Adam did pretty good! He loves Christmas trees and snowmen!

For all of you Twilight fans out there

This tree was done for sweet Brother Scadlock who passed away a couple of years ago. He was one of the sweetest men I know! He was a firefighter and the tree is decorated in honor of him. The star is a frayed fire hose...very cool.

My second favorite...a shoe tree!!

Merry Christmas!!!
