Our Trip to Sunny California
This past week Adam, Tessa and I headed to California for a few days to spend time with my grandparents. It was a busy week, but a warm one!! I don't feel like I can get warm since we have been home. Adam had fun at great grandma's echo house. Tessa was usually jealous that I was taking care of grandma and not her, but she survived.
The kids were cracking my up on the drive home. Adam refused to get dressed. He thought it was hilarious that he got to eat lunch in his pajamas. He had it pretty easy the whole ride with his sun glasses and his movies. Here he is watching Toy Story for about the 15th time that week!!
Our little Tessa Boo discovered her tongue on the ride home and would not keep it in her mouth. She looked like a lizard and it made me laugh SO hard!!

Adam loved helping Pa pick avocados from great grandma's tree. He also loved watching the ants in her backyard. He ran in the house one afternoon and told me, "I ate a bug and an ant in my mouth!" He was quite proud and I was quite grossed out!
We got to see Grandpa Lemley and Cindy and Robin a couple of times and it was nice to be able to visit with them. Aunt Cindy kept asking Tessa what color bathing suit she wanted for the summer.

It was nice to go down, but nice to be home even if it is cold here. Once I am well I need a vacation from my "vacation".

We love being close to BYU again!! Last week we stopped by Pa's office to say hi and went to the Bean Museum (no it is not a museum for beans-love you Amie!!!) Eric takes Adam at least once a month because it is free and Adam loves the animals!! This week was great because we got there right in time for a show and Adam got to touch a snake! He thought that was pretty cool.
He really wanted to pick the Rhino's nose

Story Time
We love books in at our house! I started reading to Adam when he was a few weeks old and his love for books blows me away! We read at least 3 before bed every night and a few more during the day. We often find him "reading" to himself during the day as well. I am sad to say I have not been as diligent with Tessa, but hopefully that is something that will improve soon. She likes it when I remember to sit her on my lap with Adam. I am grateful I married someone who shares my love of books! I am grateful for parents who taught me to love books and to value them. I am grateful for a Mom who taught me to read....actually she taught all 8 of us kids to read! A lot of my memories of Dad involve books. He was always reading and that was a great example to me! Thanks Mom and Dad! Now I can enjoy reading with my own babies!!

Answered Prayers!!
Eric got a job!!! We feels so blessed and are so relieved!! Eric keeps joking that he was unemployed for 8 weeks....people in Europe get longer vacations than that. The job is with Progress Manufacturing and they are located in Provo, so we get to stay close to home which we are really happy about. Eric will be their production manager-he starts on Monday! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!! Yeah!! We have a job!
