We have had another busy week, but busy in a good way! Tessa had Dance Camp every morning, so we planned all of our other activities for the week around that.
Gwen got to start her week out with some shots at the doctor's office. Adam and Tessa were fascinated by that and Tess is still praying that Gwen won't cry when she gets shots. Gwen is just happy, happy, happy and started eating carrots this week!
We go to Story Time and the library every week. We have one more week before we have finished the library's summer reading program. Adam's favorite books this summer have been anything basketball...including rule books, and Amelia Bedelia books. Tess loves anything with animals and princesses!
Gwen mastered sitting up this week and is practically army crawling. Why do they grow up so fast?!
Adam and Tessa colored some family trees. Tessa added a few new members to her family. Notice all the Angry Bird characters around her tree.
We made collages of our favorite things.
We made Chocolate Frozen Bananas. Tessa won't eat them, but she loved making them.
They have had lots of fun in the sun and tried to stay cool during our heat wave of 103 degree weather!
I taught them how to play charades (which was hilarious to watch), and they worked on some driveway masterpieces. Tessa drew herself with lots of jewelry and Adam drew some skyscrapers!
Friday we spend a lovely afternoon together in the mountains! We hiked up to Stewart Falls, which is a 4 mile hike. The kids made it the whole way and they did it happily! Gwen fell asleep on our way back and we got caught in a rainstorm on our way down the mountain. We were all soaking wet by the time we made it back to the car, but that just added to the fun of our trip.
