A Rough Week

Little Gwen and I have had a rough week. Last weekend she seemed to have come down with a cold, and by Sunday night she was pretty bad. I took her to the doctor first thing Monday morning and he sent us straight to the hospital. Ugh! She has had bronchiolitis which is a mild form of RSV. At the hospital they suctioned her out and checked her vitals...mainly focusing on her oxygen. Thankfully, although she hasn't been feeling well, she is still eating really good. The doctor said since she was eating well, her oxygen levels would determine whether or not we would be admitted to the hospital.
They felt  her oxygen levels were good enough to send us home, but I was a nervous wreck for the next 3 days as I watched her struggle to breath. Thanks to many prayers and the priesthood, she has seemed to bounce back and is doing much better! I spent several days and nights just watching and listening to her breath. Most nights I sleep for 20 or so minutes and then wake up to check her breathing. I am hoping we both get back into a good sleeping routine soon.
These pictures were taken a few days ago, after she turned 5 weeks old. We laugh at how she sleeps with her hands in several different positions. All these positions were during one nap.
She has such a special spirit about her! I am so thankful to be her mommy.

100th Day of School

On Friday, Adam and his class celebrated the 100th day of school. His teacher asked each student to make a t-shirt with 100 things on it to wear to school that day. We decided to make a math lesson out of it and we put 100 dots on his shirt. Adam counted by 5's and 10's as we plopped the dots on.

One of their 100 activities included writing to 100. I was very proud of Adam for completing his paper and thought he did a very good job!

Week In Review

Tessa has started nursing her babies. She sits next to me, pulls up her shirt, and makes sucking noises. It's pretty funny!
 A daddy/daughter nap
This week Gwen got to meet her Uncle Matt, Aunt Lisa, and her cousins Amie and Leora.
We had a surprise birthday party for Aunt Dee. I made the cake and she blew out all 50 candles!
After going to the Jazz game, Adam has been playing a lot of basketball. He and Tessa set up an inside court with cheerleaders! These are all of Tessa's cheerleaders.
 Here are Adam's cheerleaders.
We started our Valentine's Day countdown this week. We decorated the house for Valentine's Day and did some heart attacking. The kids chose to heart attack Gwen and Daddy.

Little Gwen came down with a cold this week and has been pretty congested. It has been sad to see her not feel good. Hopefully she will be on the mend soon.
I ventured out with all 3 kids to a trip to the grocery store. It went fairly well and I think I will survive trying to keep track of 3 kids.

4 Weeks Old!

I know I say this every week, but I can't believe how fast 4 weeks has gone by! Gwen is wonderful and we just can't get enough of her. She turned 4 weeks old on Tuesday. I am healing well and finally turned a corner recovery wise at about 3 1/2  weeks after surgery. It's nice to be feeling a bit back to normal.
Here is our beautiful  girl!

These kids can't get enough of their baby!

Tess loves being a big sister!

I had to post this picture for Adam. He about wet his pants laughing when he saw it.
And then she made it very clear she was done with her photo shoot!!

Jazz Game

Monday night Eric and Adam were able to go to the Jazz game. They had such a good time together and Adam LOVED going to the game! Eric said he cheered so loud and loved screaming "defense!" Adam was thrilled that the Jazz ended up winning and loves telling us the final score. What a fun boys night out!

Eric's News!

Eric had some exciting news this week! Last Wednesday he interviewed at BYU for their Executive MBA Program. He felt that the interview went well and we figured it would be a couple of weeks before we heard anything from them. He got to work Monday morning and had an email waiting for him from BYU. He was accepted into their program!
All his hard work paid off and we are grateful that he will have this opportunity to expand his horizons. We are not quite sure how we feel about being students again, especially with 3 kids, but it will all be worth it!
