Welcoming Summer!

We have been so excited for this day to come! Finally, the last day of school arrived and we celebrated!!
While Adam finished up his last couple of hours at school, I was busy at home getting things ready to welcome our summer of fun. I made this sign for the kids to see when we pulled up from getting Adam.

I hung up our summer schedule and our summer to do list.

I got our summer jars out and filled them with ideas for fun summer activities.
I put a little summer present together for the kids to open when Adam got home from school. Gwen was a little anxious to find out what was inside.

At noon, the big moment finally came! The bell rang and Adam was excited to have finished first grade! I have to admit, I cried when I dropped him off this morning. Odd for the last day of school, but it made me sad that he will be going into second grade already. Time is going so fast and he is growing up. That breaks my heart a bit. He had a great year with Mrs. Riley as his teacher. He received almost straight A's the whole school year. He didn't miss one word on any spelling tests and got 100% on every homework assignment. He is on about a 4th grade reading level. We are so glad he loves to learn and works hard to do his best!
Adam and Tessa loved the sign! After a couple of pictures, I let them run through it to officially kick off our summer.

They wasted no time digging into all of their new goodies.

They got new sand buckets, s'mores treats, bubbles, chalk, water guns, pinwheels, summer journals, licorice, and doodle books (which they started working on immediately).

This evening we headed up to Aunt Dee's  house, where we had a Beach Party! We had tons of yummy food and watched "Beach Blanket Bingo". The rice krispie treat sand castle was my contribution to the party.

Adam and Tessa liked the movie. Tessa liked seeing the Mermaid, but Adam watched the whole thing and he loved it. They sang "Beach Blanket Bingo" the entire drive home.
Now we begin our weeks of fun activities. I hope this summer goes by slowly! I am so excited to make some new memories!

Tessa's Preschool Graduation

Where does the time go? This little beauty graduated from Preschool today. We were lucky enough to be invited to participate in a small neighborhood preschool with some of Tessa's best little buds. She loved going every week and we are thankful for the new friends we made.

Tessa, Camdyn, Cooper, Penny, and Elle
 Tessa's Preschool Class
Cooper, Taylor, Tessa, Camdyn, Zach, Ryker, Penny, Elle, and Kate

Camdyn is Tessa's very bestest friend! They love each other!!

 The Graduates!
They performed a few of their favorite preschool songs. Tessa does not like performing (shocking, I know), so she was hiding behind other kids.
Miss Katie handed everyone their special preschool shirt and certificate.

 Way to go, Tessa Boo!!!

On the last day of preschool, the kids all made matching shirts with their hand prints.

After the mom's got a million pictures, the kids jumped on the tramp for a couple of hours. We didn't know how long that poor tramp was going to hold up, but thankfully it survived the craziness.
Stephne, Kristin, Becky, Amy, Katie, Mary, Whitney, Michelle, and Nicole
All the cute Mom's!  I am so thankful for the awesome neighbors I have, and for the good memories we have made with them here in little Spanish Fork.

May Madness

Forget March Madness, it has been May Madness for us! So many things going on-and this is just what I got pictures of and can remember....

Tessa is my hat girl! I love her in this hat and call her my Anne of Green Gables. She says it's her Darkwing Duck hat...hence the gun in her pants.
Adam participated in his school Walk-a-thon. I gave him a time limit otherwise we would have been there all night. He of course ran the entire time. This boy has so much energy and he eats me out of house and home because of it!

The girls got new swim suits and are all ready for the summer!
Gwen is Adam's littlest cheerleader. She is always so excited to find him when he is playing baseball.

This is how we look all summer long. We love our hats!
Adam said it was time to rename his missionary doll since Uncle David will be home in a month and Uncle Ben left for Chile this week. Uncle Ben gave Adam all his Magic Tree House books before he left, so Adam wanted to take a picture of his doll with one of the books. Uncle Ben called us from both the Salt Lake airport and the Atlanta airport on his way to Chile. He was nervous, but excited to get to Chile and get to work. We are so proud of him!
We went to a magic show at the library. It was a fun little show and I loved hearing Adam and Tessa laugh their heads off!

I am a HUGE Duck Dynasty fan! I couldn't resist when I saw Willie at Walmart.
Tessa and I have been wrapping up Mommy School. I can't believe she is going to Kindergarten!
Adam's class had their end of the year party. They had a Luau! Adam with his best bud, Braxton. They were so happy to be on the same baseball team this year!
After the kids are in bed, I have been working on some fun summer surprises!
BYU had a Fan Fest here in Spanish Fork! We stopped in for a bit on our way to Adam's baseball game. Tessa was so excited to find some cheerleaders. She took her pom poms just in case she found some cheerleaders. In the first picture, as soon as I said, "Three!", Tessa threw her arms up in the air. The cheerleaders thought it was hilarious. I made her put her arms down so we could get a nice picture with them.

Adam was so excited to see Coach Rose there! They got to talk for a minute and Coach Rose signed a poster for Adam.

Gwen was less than thrilled to wait in line to talk to people, but it was worth it! We got to see Bronco! Uncle David will be so sad he missed this by a month. Adam got to talk to Coach Bronco and got another poster signed by Bronco and a few football players.

Our future Cougar!!
We are so anxious for school to be out! We have been counting down the days for weeks now. Our afternoons are full of basketball playing, bike riding, soccer, bubbles, coloring, and enjoying being together. We can't wait to have the entire summer to ourselves!!
