Princess Tea Party

Saturday, while the boys were at Cub Scout Day Camp, the girls headed to the Art Museum for a Princess Tea Party. I can't believe it's been a year since we went. We have been looking forward to going and the girls planned their beautiful outfits days before.
Tessa wore her Elsa dress and Gwen wore her "Tinkerbell" dress. Tessa also wore her necklace her Daddy bought her in Paris.
 A Princess Selfie.

They were so excited to be greeted by several Princesses when we got there.
Gwen's best friend, Presley and her Mommy came with us this year.

We did several fun activities with some of the Princesses. First they got to walk around the Museum and play "I Spy" with some of the beautiful quilts.
Then we got to tour the gardens.

Next, the girls got to make rings and crowns.
One of their favorite activities was the royal dance party. As a Mom, it was so fun to sit there and watch the pure joy on these girls faces and they twirled and twirled. They had so much fun!

But hands down, their favorite part of the day was the Puppet Show. They laughed and laughed and laughed. The Princess kept kissing the frog and instead of turning into a Prince, the frog would turn into other animals. They thought it was so scary when the frog turned into a spider.

Tessa loved the "Red Princess" and followed her around all afternoon.

We got to have a lovely tea party after all the activities were finished.
Before we left, the girls all got to participate in quick fashion show.

Gwennie was so cute. She got up and waved to everyone.
 The cutest Princesses around!

We love our Princess Tea Party tradition. We had so much fun this year and look forward to going again next year.

Caleb's 12 Month Pictures

This week we had Caleb's 12 month pictures taken. I am not going to lie, I am not thrilled with them. Yes, they are cute, but not one shot shows our happy boy and his fun personality. For whatever reason, Caleb was not in the mood for pictures. He hardly smiled the whole time we were there. He just wanted to be held and explore on his own.
I guess we will always remember his anti-picture day. Despite no smiles, he is our cute boy and we love him to pieces.

First Day of School

Yesterday was the big first day of school for Adam and Tessa. They were both so excited!! School days come bright and early for these kids, but they know our routine and were up quickly and ready to go on time with their chores done and devotional compete. I can't believe they are in 4th and 2nd grade. I feel like I just left Adam at his first day of Kindergarten (one of the worst days of my life), But, I am so thankful that they both love school so much and that they love to learn.
Adam's new uniform for 4th grade requires a button down shirt, a tie and a vest. He suddenly looks so grown up. He even combs his own hair now.

Tessa couldn't wait to see all of her friends. She designed her headband. She loves headbands! She wanted to make sure her outfit was perfect. She also wanted her fingernails purple for the first day of school. I told her we would paint them on Saturday.

They found their class lines and were ready to have a great first day! Tessa prayed the night before that she wouldn't have any homework on the first day. She was pleased to inform me when I picked them up, that her prayers had been answered. She came home with no homework!
Here's to a great school year for our amazing little Scholars!
