What's Been Happening

There is always something interesting going on at our house. Adam and Tessa are loving being back in school and Gwen and Caleb are a little lost without the older 2 at home. Gwen is anxiously counting down the days for Mommy School. Here's a quick glance at some moments Mommy captured the last couple of weeks.
I love when he plays so hard and then suddenly crashes. Cutest thing ever!
Caleb thinks my shower is the best place to play. It keeps him entertained long enough for me to get ready most days.
Caleb and Gwen have been my walking buddies in the morning. We load up and go as soon as we get home from taking Adam and Tessa to school.
Bike rides around the neighborhood with Gwen.
We stop constantly so she can pick her treasures.
Sometimes I cave and let Gwen have her favorite snack in the whole world...chips and salsa. I caught her licking her salsa bowl clean the other day.
Caleb loves Curious George and has recently discovered Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. I am not sure why all of my children (except Adam) feel the need to watch TV by standing right in front of it.
Adam and Tessa are doing great in school and are good about preparing all of their clothes and lunches before bedtime.
Tessa made us laugh with her board of all the things she loves.
Saturday we were ready to cheer on our Cougars. It's finally football season!
We had a fun football party with just our little crew and loved watching an epic football game and win! I still don't think Adam has recovered from that Hail Mary win.
Saturday night, Mommy, Daddy and Adam all got to go to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival with Ma and Pa. I loved listening to Adam laugh and laugh. He can't wait to go again next year.
Monday was Labor Day. We had kind of a lazy day at home. Daddy took the 3 older kids to the park while Caleb took his nap. Then we went to Ma and Pa's house for dinner.
Baby Gia is the life of every gathering. Caleb looks so big next to her. I love this picture of him about to "eat" her.

Gwennie adores her Baby Gia and holds her as often as she can.
Tessa was the official S'more maker. She made a special S'more just for Great Grandpa.

Tessa's Tooth

Tessa has been waiting for years to lose a tooth, and this week it was finally her turn! She had a tooth get wiggly a couple of weeks ago and she was so excited about it. She told everyone she saw and even texted her bff, Camdyn in Michigan to tell her. We were starting to wonder if Tessa was going to be like her Daddy and have her baby teeth pulled because she is 7 and hasn't lost any. The Dentist even did a special x-ray at her last appointment to make sure she had adult teeth under her baby teeth. A brief moment of panic for Mom. Who knew that was even a possibility to not have adult teeth?
But, thankfully he said her adult teeth were all there. Just taking their sweet time to pop out.
Tessa has been wiggling her loose tooth diligently for a couple of weeks now and she came home from school with her smile looking a bit different than when she left for school that morning. She was so happy to have her tooth fall out. And at school! She was in math class when it happened and she got to go to the office to get a special bag for her tooth. She put the little bag in her backpack, but then carried all of her books around the rest of the day because she didn't want to put them in her bag and smash her tooth. She was very worried about taking good care of it for the Tooth Fairy.

Before bed, Tessa wrote a special note to the Tooth Fairy, telling her the whole story of how and where the tooth fell out and where Tessa had left it for the Tooth Fairy to find. She put the note on her bed so the Tooth Fairy would be sure to see it. Tessa was so happy to wake up the next morning to find her note and tooth gone and a dollar under her pillow.

She is proudly showing off her new smile and can't wait for more of those baby teeth to fall out. She is feeling so grown up!

A Boy and His Balls

Caleb loves balls. He loves to throw them and kick them and he loves to play catch with anyone who will play with him.
He got this ball house for his birthday and he lives in it. We laugh so hard when we look over and find him just lounging in it with his bottle. These pictures were from last Sunday night. Everyone was busy getting dinner cleaned up and things ready for school the next day, and Caleb was just chilling with all of his balls. He's the cutest boy!

Princess Tea Party

Saturday, while the boys were at Cub Scout Day Camp, the girls headed to the Art Museum for a Princess Tea Party. I can't believe it's been a year since we went. We have been looking forward to going and the girls planned their beautiful outfits days before.
Tessa wore her Elsa dress and Gwen wore her "Tinkerbell" dress. Tessa also wore her necklace her Daddy bought her in Paris.
 A Princess Selfie.

They were so excited to be greeted by several Princesses when we got there.
Gwen's best friend, Presley and her Mommy came with us this year.

We did several fun activities with some of the Princesses. First they got to walk around the Museum and play "I Spy" with some of the beautiful quilts.
Then we got to tour the gardens.

Next, the girls got to make rings and crowns.
One of their favorite activities was the royal dance party. As a Mom, it was so fun to sit there and watch the pure joy on these girls faces and they twirled and twirled. They had so much fun!

But hands down, their favorite part of the day was the Puppet Show. They laughed and laughed and laughed. The Princess kept kissing the frog and instead of turning into a Prince, the frog would turn into other animals. They thought it was so scary when the frog turned into a spider.

Tessa loved the "Red Princess" and followed her around all afternoon.

We got to have a lovely tea party after all the activities were finished.
Before we left, the girls all got to participate in quick fashion show.

Gwennie was so cute. She got up and waved to everyone.
 The cutest Princesses around!

We love our Princess Tea Party tradition. We had so much fun this year and look forward to going again next year.
