It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!!

We  love getting to decorate our house for Christmas. After we saw Santa arrive, Adam and Daddy went shooting with Pa and some of the uncles. Mommy and the other kids got boxes ready and as soon as we finished eating dinner, we got right to work making our house perfect for Christmas.
Gwen and Caleb were happy to see our singing snow people.

Tessa said setting up the tree is her favorite part of decorating. Because she's really good at fluffing!

Caleb had his own idea for decorating.

Gwen got to be our Bumble this year.

The kids couldn't wait to see what new ornaments they got this year. Adam got a stack of books, Tessa got ice skates, Gwen got ballet slippers, and Caleb got a Vader.
We didn't get to hang Vader on the tree until after Caleb had fallen asleep.
Reading stocking notes is our favorite part of the night.

Gwen was excited about her goals.

Adam set one of his goals as "Eat 2 apples everyday". He couldn't breathe, he was laughing so hard.
The finished product. I love that it is full of happy memories.
The kids got new stockings this year too!

Santa's Arrival!

The morning after Thanksgiving, we loaded the kiddos up and headed back up to Orem to watch Santa fly in on Chopper 5. Thankfully, this year it wasn't too windy, so Santa was able to land. Gwen was super excited and was singing in her falsetto voice most of the morning. Caleb was utterly confused, but loved seeing the helicopter and then was excited to see Santa when he arrived.

See, she's excited!

Pa came with us this year also. We love our Santa tradition!!

Thanksgiving 2016

We had such a great thanksgiving weekend. I wish it had lasted longer!
We started our Thanksgiving morning with turkey cinnamon rolls and watching the Macy's parade.
We also got to skype with Mamaw and Bampa, which we loved!
Aunt Katy had crafts for the kids to do at Ma and Pa's house.
The kids had fun playing football with Daddy and Uncle Matt and Uncle Danny. It's not Thanksgiving without a turkey bowl.

We played some hilarious games before dinner. We had to dress the turkey.

We played flip the cup. Poor Tessa could not get her cup to stay standing.
We had to find the sinking Pilgrims.

 Ma even played with us.
Danny kept Gwen good and irritated all afternoon.
Aunt Gillian taught us how to play Bunko. Tessa loved it!

So much to be thankful for!!
And miracle of miracles...Tessa tried turkey and liked it!

Adam weighed himself before and after dinner and was disappointed to see that the scale didn't move. I wish I was that anxious to gain weight.
Our Tom the Turkey got nice and full this year.
We also had a random acts of kindness tree. It was nice to see all the nice things our family did for each other.

My favorite part of our Thanksgiving holiday is our family thankful journal. I love seeing the kids writing in it, and I love reading what everyone writes.
