Sous Chef

This is what cooking time looks like at our house. If I am in the kitchen, Tessa is usually clinging to my legs. She is my little chef in training. Or she just really loves her mommy.

Thanksgiving Point

We had a fun Saturday morning at Thanksgiving Point. The kids had a blast!
The corn maze was a hit! Tessa loved running through the corn.
Adam insisted on taking a picture in the princess car:)

We loved the bumpy hay ride-Tessa wasn't too fond of hay in her diaper however
Nothing like a giant chair to make a girl feel skinny!
Her new favorite word-"cheese!"

Crazy Girl

I know I have posted pictures of her crazy sleeping habits before, but these are the best yet! I have no idea how she can sleep like this.
Don't worry-we didn't leave her this way!

Halloween Fun

Adam is finally old enough to understand the holidays and I am loving it! We have been making yummy treats to eat and started doing some Halloween crafts. He loves our decorations around the house and will now point out the houses that are not decorated for Halloween and say, "Mommy that house is NOT ready for Halloween". Showing off his feet ghosts
We had friends over the other night and we had fun making Frankenstein cone cakes

I love baking this time of year!! Here is this weeks treat-baked apples with vanilla sauce. Check out my food blog for the recipe. It is super good!!

There is such satisfaction when you create something! I have been adding to our home decor for the holidays and this year I decided to make some new things. I made this candy pot witch and the witches hat. The hat looks better in person-guess you'll have to come see the real thing.

Happy Halloween!!

Grandma's Funeral

We survived our whirlwind trip to California over the weekend for my Grandma's funeral. It was a lousy reason to see so many family and friends, but it was still good to see everyone. Grandma looked good considering what her poor body has been through lately and all of her flowers were beautiful. It was difficult to say a final goodbye, but I am grateful for so many wonderful memories. I am lucky to have had such wonderful Grandmothers.
Mom, Kathleen and Kelsey

Amie, Shannon and me-it was fun to catch up! The 3 of us haven't been together for about 9 years.

Adam and Tessa with Grandpa Lemley

The highlight of our trip was seeing Jer, Courtney, Mya, Wynn and Paige! It was so great to see them and the kids had a blast! Adam has been begging me to take him back to their house. He loves his cousins!

Tessa was happy to find a chair just her size

Family Home Evening

Since Monday was not such a great day for me with my Grandma passing away, Eric decided that we needed to do something fun for family home evening. We have been wanting to take Adam bowling and we thought this was a good night to do it. We headed over to Cougar Lanes at BYU and had a lot of fun. Adam loved it and every time he let his ball go, he jumped up and down until his pins were down. It was a nice distraction and I have a feeling this is something we will be doing more often.

Here comes the jumping!
For some reason Tessa hated it! Every time the pins went down she screamed and would shake cause she was so mad. We have no idea why she didn't like it-it wasn't even noisy!

Believe it or not, I use to be on a bowling league when I was like 13. I am still pretty good if I do say so myself. I got a strike on my first run-and I was holding Tessa! Eric still beat me by about 10 points.
What a pose!

Grandma Wanlass

My sweet Grandma left us this morning. After 19 years without Grandpa, they are together again. I am so grateful she is pain free now, but that doesn't make saying goodbye any easier. I will always be grateful for the times I was able to spend with her growing up and I am so glad she was able to know Adam and Tessa. She taught me about how to be a happy person and how to look for the positive in things. I am grateful I was able to hear her voice one last time this weekend. I will miss her so much!! I love you Grandma!
