Saturday

Yesterday was so nice! I had the entire day off-well, almost. I had a service project with the youth first thing in the morning-then I had the entire day off. Yesterday was our annual MS walk with Eric's company. His company is team Equalizer (in the red shirts). We participated last year and had a lot of fun. It was much easier this year with Tessa being a little older and no rain to soak us while we walked.
Gearing up for our walk
Tessa had to put her own sunscreen on-Miss Independent!

When we got home we had a busy afternoon. We cleaned the garage, cleaned our very dirty car and got our garden ready for planting. We are going to share a garden with our neighbors this year. We spent the afternoon pulling weeds and tilling the dirt. The kids LOVED spreading the "cow poop". Adam spent most of the afternoon searching for worms and found some big, juicy ones! Luckily our little neighbor girls love bugs just as much as he does. It felt good to get so much done!

Happy Spring!!!

Sunday Walk

The weather is finally warming up and we are loving it! We really wanted to go on a walk together last Sunday evening, so I got home from my meetings as fast as I could and we went for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Tessa insisted on wearing the bunny ears and sunglasses. She keeps us laughing!

Birthday Bash

Ellie (the kids cousin) had a birthday party at Boondocks this week and the kids had a blast! They loved the arcade games and rides! We are even more excited to take them to Disneyland now!
The birthday girl!

The kids loved this roller coaster ride. Adam said he liked it although he looked terrified most of the time. Tessa finally had to climb on and was screaming at the top of her lungs! She loved it!

Adam LOVES to bowl! He was thrilled when he saw they had bowling!

Adam said he can't wait for Ellie to have another birthday!

Easter 2010

The kids had a fun Easter weekend! On Thursday we went to my parents for an egg hunt. Adam loved it and Tessa caught on really quickly!

Tessa and Aunt Katy. Yes, those are pearls around her neck. She is our girly girl!

Enjoying my April Fool's Day cupcakes

The kids colored eggs with Katy and Ben.

The kids got some fun things in their Easter baskets this year-including a stop sign for Adam. Every time someone asked Adam what the Easter Bunny was going to bring him, he would say a stop sign. He would explain that he needed one so when his cars and trains are playing they will know when to stop so they won't crash. He was thrilled that the Easter Bunny came through for him!
It was nice to spend time together as a family this weekend and listen to General Conference. It was such an amazing Conference and so many of my prayers for my family and for my young women were answered. I am so thankful for the gospel and for the knowledge that our family is forever! Happy Easter!!

Tessa's Prayer

Young Women General Broadcast

This weekend was exhausting! I worked a 14 hour shift on Friday and then a 6 hour shift on Saturday. After work, I ran home for 20 minutes to change my clothes and headed up to Salt Lake with my girls for the Young Women General Broadcast. I didn't get home until after the kids were in bed both nights. I had meetings all morning on Sunday, but the kids were sick, so I finally got to see them for 2 hours Sunday afternoon while Eric went to Sacrament Meeting and I stayed home with them. By the time I got home from church Sunday evening, I didn't know whether to sit down and cry or go for a jog around the block so I didn't fall asleep in my dinner. I was grateful to finally be home with my family, to say the least.
(My cute secretary who is very pregnant and a trooper for marching all over Salt Lake with us.)

While it was insanely busy, going to the broadcast with my girls and my presidency was such a wonderful experience. I don't know how much the girls got out of it, but I left so spiritually fed! I feel so blessed to work with the young women and feel such a responsibility for them. I was so grateful for Sister Dalton's talk and President Uchtdorf's talk. Both were so powerful and applicable to women of all ages. I am so thankful we were able to attend the broadcast together-hopefully it will be the first of many!

Adam's Night Out

We have been so busy lately, we hardly get to have any "family time". Eric and I decided that we needed an Adam Night Out, so we took him miniature golfing. It was Adam's first time at a golf course and he loved it! I am so glad we took our video camera because he was hilarious to watch. His hands and feet were used far more than his golf club.

Using his hands to get his ball in the hole
After we finished our game I asked Adam where he would like to go for a treat. Without missing a beat he yelled, "In-N-Out!!" He always asks to stop there for shakes. We don't go very often, but he is a happy boy when we do!!
Thanks for a fun night out Adam! We love you so much!!
