Payson Temple

Tonight for Family Home Evening we took a little drive to Payson to show the kids where our new temple is going to be built. We feel very blessed to have another temple so close to us! Even though it is still just a field, there is already a special feeling there. The kids both started singing "I Love To See The Temple" as they walked through the field. I am grateful that they love temples so much!
Adam always calls the Angel Moroni, Captain Moroni. We tried to explain there was more than one Moroni in the Book of Mormon. He finally got tired of our explaining and said, "Can't I just call him Captain Moroni? I like him the best."

Summer Fun

We have been having fun playing outside in the mornings while it is still cool. Adam loves his sandbox!

For some reason that hat Adam is wearing is his new favorite hat to wear outside.

Weekend Review

Our crazy month is over!!! We survived....I think. Our biggest news is about Eric. We are super proud of him this weekend! He took the GMAT Saturday morning and did very, very well!! He has been studying for months now and it paid off. His score was better than he thought he would get and now we can relax for a little while. He will start applying for school late in the summer.
Friday we had the Utah reception for Kevin and Amy. The kids and I were at the church from 10am until 11:30pm decorating, then "entertaining", then cleaning up. I was supposed to cook for this reception, but I asked my Mom a couple of weeks ago if we could come up with plan B. I just don't have the energy right now to pull something that big off. Not after the last month anyways. Instead we had Costco cake and Sister Clegg's yummy strawberries and cream puffs. I think Adam ate most of the strawberries.
It was fun to visit with old ward members. Sister Spencer and Sister Scadlock are two of my favorite ladies ever! They thought Tessa was darling and kept rubbing my belly. They were excited to hear we are having baby #3.
Poor Tessa had had her fill before the party began.
Matt and Danny
My kids and most of my siblings spent more time in the nursery than the reception.
However, they did leave their mark on the kids table.
Matthew took a nap and Danny showed us his amazing skills with Lego's.

Candace and her family came to see us. It was good to see her!
Matt hung out with Adam during the reception. He helped Adam learn how to say different colors in Spanish.
I was shocked to see one of my very favorite Institute teachers come! She taught Danny in seminary and Kevin and I both took classes from her at Institute. We love Sister Christensen!!

Tiger Lily drove hours to see us! I haven't seen her since I was probably 11. She couldn't believe how grown up we all were.
Our good buddy Matt Parks from our Nauvoo days came too! It was fun to catch up with him and talk about Nauvoo. It made me homesick!
Today Mattman spoke in church. He gave a wonderful talk on temples and temple work. It was fun to hear some of his mission experiences and see how much he has matured and grown in the gospel. Adam was disappointed he didn't speak any Spanish during his talk.
We are 2 weeks into my 2nd trimester! I had another doctor's appointment this week. The baby's heartbeat is good and strong and the doctor said everything looks and sounds good! We should find out in about 6 weeks if it's a brother or a sister. I hate taking pregnancy pictures! They never look good. I have decided I am a very ugly pregnant lady. Everyone else seems to get these cute baby bumps. I get round all over. I couldn't sleep the night before my appointment cause I kept dreaming that I was going to get lectured on my weight. I gain lots when I grow these babies! Luckily the doctor said my weight was great and now I can sleep until my next appointment. We had a new niece born last week and she is so precious! It makes me so anxious for our little one to get here!
Now we get to catch up on house work and yard work that we have put off for weeks. We have a long list of fun things to do this summer and we start checking things off tomorrow!

Goodbye Elder Lemley

Yesterday was very bittersweet! We said goodbye to our Davey Baby as he left for his mission. He will hopefully be serving in Recife, Brazil. His visa has not come through yet, so instead of flying straight to Brazil, he gets to hang out in Provo for a while. It was difficult to say goodbye, but I am so proud of him! He and I are very close and I am going to miss him terribly! I can't wait for his first letter! He will be an amazing missionary and I am excited to see how much he grows over the next 2 years.

Eric served in the same mission David is headed to. Eric can't wait to hear about Recife!

What cute sisters he has!
The Elders! Matt just got home and David is leaving.
David is such a good uncle! These kids are going to miss him!
When we took David to the MTC, Katy, Ben, Matt and Vincent tried walking in cause there wasn't enough room in my parents van. When they got to the corner, they were not allowed onto MTC grounds because they were not with a missionary. The rest of us were already at the curb ready to drop David off. We told the missionaries we would be right back and went back around the block and had the 4 extra kids jump in the van so they could say goodbye. It was a tight few minutes! (We broke a few laws.) In the back of the van was Henry, Andrew and the 3 grandkids. In the middle of the van was David, me, Matt, Vince, Katy and Ben. When we got back to the curb to drop David off, the elder waiting for him laughed as he watched people keep coming and coming as we all piled out of the van. He said he had never seen real clown car before! Leave it to the Lemley's!
Poor David smooshed up against the door!
Saying our final goodbyes

Good Luck Elder!!! We love you so, so much!!!

4th of July

We got up early again on Monday morning and headed to the 4th of July parade! I have awesome siblings who slept on the street to save us all a spot.

Adam was so excited when he got to break a board with his hand!

Now he talks about how much strength he has cause he broke a board. We are hoping he doesn't try that again on his own!
Our crowd

Vincent and Matt...not so thrilled after attempting to sleep on the street all night.
Katy and Ben

Mom and Kathleen

Tessa and David
Adam and David

Adam loves parades! He waved his hands and his flag at everyone!

We were lucky enough to have a horse stop right in front of us...then it started peeing. Then the pee started streaming down the street....right into us, our blankets and everything else we had. Poor Eric tried to get stuff to stop it from coming, but it didn't work. The rest of us weren't much help because we were all laughing so hard. It will be a parade we never forget!

Adam was sad when it ended. I think he could have sat there all day long!
After the parade we headed to my parents house for our annual 4th of July BBQ. We had quite the crowd this year!

It was raining when it was time for fireworks, so we all watched from the carport while my brothers braved the rain. David declined his interpretive dancing this year. He said it wasn't appropriate for a missionary. We will miss his dancing the next 2 years. Tessa only agreed to come out and watch fireworks if she got to listen to music. The "Black Eyed Peas" kept her happy.
We still have several things going on this week, but it was nice to have a break from some of the craziness and spend time with family. We are thankful for our freedom and for those who sacrificed and continue to sacrifice so much for our freedom! God Bless America!!!
