Gwen's Photoshoot

This week we had Gwen's 3 year old pictures taken. We haven't been able to stop looking at them. The pictures all turned out so adorable and Gwen had such a fun time taking them! Our baby girl suddenly grew up! We usually get 70-80 pictures when we do these photo sessions, but this time the photographer sent us home with 109 pictures. I don't know how we will ever decide which ones to print! Aunt Katy suggested using them all as wallpaper. We may just have to do that.

Eric Turns 34!

On Sunday, Eric turned the big 34. Since it was a Sunday birthday, we had kind of a low key day. We celebrated with the Nielson's last week and we will celebrate with the Lemley's in a couple of weeks, but Sunday was just our family at home. And, it was nice to have it that way.
The kids woke up early Sunday morning and decorated the house for their Daddy. Tessa made these signs and Adam helped get balloons ready to spread all over the house. I asked Tessa why she put cursive L's all over the birthday poster. She said, "To make it fancy".
Eric requested homemade pizza for his birthday dinner, so Mommy whipped up this Steakhouse Pizza. It was dang good, if I do say so myself.
 Present time!
Gwen drew her Daddy a picture.
Tessa gave him money out of her piggy bank...and a washer (she said it was treasure).

Caleb was a little too helpful opening presents. He wanted to eat all of them.

Caleb got so mad when he couldn't eat Daddy's books, so he got one of his own to eat.

The kids gave their Dad a fun game for them to play together.
He requested his favorite Pralines and Caramel Cheesecake for a birthday cake. I think this is the 8th year he has requested this.
(Caleb is going through that fun phase where he won't sleep unless he's being held.)

We sure love this awesome guy and are so thankful for all that he does for our family! He is a wonderful husband and Dad! We are so lucky to have him!!
Happy Birthday!!

Saturday Outing

Saturday afternoon, we ventured up north to Fashion Place mall to see the coolest traveling Lego display. It had several different national monuments and they were incredible! It's amazing what some people can do with Legos.
Caleb was excited for the days adventure!

The Supreme Court Building and the Lincoln Memorial
 They even had Lincoln inside!

 The White House
 It was huge!

Adam was so happy to see the Statue of Liberty.
He wants to go see the real thing so bad!
 The Jefferson Memorial
Jefferson was inside this one as well.

The Capitol-this was truly amazing! It was like 25 feet long.

 The Washington Monument
 Independence Hall
 The Liberty Bell
The kids couldn't believe how big this was and that is was the same size as the actual Liberty Bell. They had to check and see if they could ring it.

Before we headed home, we found some Legos to play with. They each build race cars to race each other.

Another fun family outing. We love finding cool things like this!
