4th of July

We had a very busy 4th of July weekend, but is was a lot of fun! We are so glad we live in Utah this year to enjoy the festivities with our families. We went to the balloon launch of Friday morning, the parade on Saturday morning, had a bbq with my family that afternoon and spent the evening with the Nielson's at BYU for Stadium of Fire fireworks. Adam and Tessa loved everything!! We had a great time making new memories together. We are so grateful for our country and the blessings of freedom we enjoy! Thank you to those who who serve our country and keep us free! Danny and Jake-our thought are with you this holiday weekend! Thank you for your service!!

Goodbye Mattman

Our little Mattman left today for his mission. He will be serving in Houston, Texas. We all piled in my parents van (you can only take one car to the MTC now) to say goodbye.
After his setting apart on Sunday-an official missionary

One last play day on Tuesday-Adam makes a good companion!

One last picture with Uncle Matt. The kids will be so big when he gets back!

The little boys and more future missionaries!

Checking in at the MTC curb

Saying goodbye...

It was so hard to say goodbye for some reason. I think I have cried more than my mom! I just can't believe our little Mattman is a missionary! He should still be drawing R's in the sand at the beach. He is grown into such a wonderful young man and I am so proud of him and so grateful that he is setting a good example for our other brothers and for my kids. If it is this hard just sending a brother off how am I ever going to send my own children out?! We will miss you Elder Lemley! See you in 2 years!!

I'm In Trouble!!!

I was working on something this afternoon and heard Tessa jabbering. I looked over to see this!! She had Adam's toy cell phone and she was "talking" on it!! She is only 10 months old-I think she is going to give us a run for our money!

Puzzles, Puzzles, Puzzles!!!

Adam is our puzzle boy! He does them all by himself all day long! We usually have to do a puzzle once or twice with him before he does it on his own. He got this puzzle last week with some birthday money and he puts it together about 4 times a day! He LOVES puzzles!!

10 months old!

Tessa is 1o months old today!! She is cruising everywhere and is into everything! She will be walking on her own soon. Anything and everything goes in her mouth. She tries with all her might to keep up with her big brother and she does a good job of it! I have never seen a baby crawl so fast. So far she has survived a couple starvation periods, being Adam's wrestle partner, and a tumble down the stairs. If we could just get her to sleep every now and then I would say she was the perfect baby! We love you Tessa!!

Happy Birthday Adam!!!

Our boy turned 3 on Monday and we had a fun weekend birthday celebration!! On Saturday both sides of the family came over for a Thomas the Train birthday party. I did my best with the cake....it didn't turn out as I had hoped, but luckily 3 year olds don't really care.
He got lots of fun things, but a favorite is his new car!!

On Monday (his birthday) we took him up to Heber where they had Thomas the Train visiting the Heber Creeper. He LOVED it!!! We had a fun afternoon as a family and Eric and I loved watching him get so excited over the smallest things. We went for a ride on Thomas and he would have stayed on the train all day if we let him.

To finish off the birthday activities, today we visited the doctor for check-ups. Tessa had her 9 month and Adam his 3 year. For some reason Adam loves going to the doctor. It is not a place we visit very often, so I don't know why he thinks it is fun, but he has been looking forward to this just as much as riding Thomas! Both are healthy, healthy kids-thank goodness!! Adam weighs 31 lbs and is 36 inches and Tessa Boo is up to 18 lbs 4 oz and 29 inches. We are looking forward to things slowing down for a few days, but it has been fun to see Adam's eyes light up all weekend. We feel so blessed to have him as part of our family and our firstborn-he is going to do amazing things someday!!
